Any tips on how to meet Noel? I'm going to the Edmonton show next week. Any idea what time they soundcheck? Maybe hoping to catch him as he goes in for that.

In Toronto the show was at I think 730 or 8 and I saw him going into soundcheck at about 430. There were about 7-8 of us around the stage entrance.

^^Correct. Though I didn't get in. Security guard wouldn't let me in and I could enjoy the soundcheck from outside (which is what I really wanted to do anyhow)

I'll probably be hanging around Rogers Arena at 4 tomorrow in hopes of meeting Noely G. Haven't been browsing the forum so I have no idea what the set will be or anything, maybe I'll have him sign my Pretty Green shirt  Maybe the ticket. I'll firgure something out. |

When I met him at Montreux Jazz Festival, he did the soundcheck earlier (about 1pm) and came to sign autographs at about 2pm.
In general, soundcheck take place at 3pm or 3:30pm.
In Lyon, he came at 2pm (he was sick and just came to see the venue, no soundcheck I think). We were about 8 fans, waiting at the other side of the parking. He came out, and as we didn't move to not bother him, he made some signs with his arms to say us : "yeah, come here, I won't eat you" ;D
In Toulouse, still sick, no soundcheck, no photos, no signing...

Is there a better chance of meeting him before or after the show? Because I don't really care for snow patrol coming to edmonton... So maybe he'll be outside smoking during there performance?

Definitely before the show. Most of the time he comes out after or before soundcheck (usually around 3-4) to greet his fans and that's his job done!

He says he gets Oasis stuff to sign. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't.
I wouldn't bring a Songbird or IOT single but I assume everything else would be fair game. He is far from disowning Oasis material
He took a picture with a girl in Toronto. But I wouldn't count on it. Noel hates pictures.

met him before the soundcheck in germany this year. We were not allowed to take pictures.
Security Man: "if anyone take pictures, noel will sign nothing..."

Met him this year in Columbus, Ohio after the gig. I never expected to meet him, so all I had on me to sign was my ticket. Tried the same thing in Indianapolis, but he had already left for the airport.

I left at 2PM, they got there at 5PM, I was a floor above them, I got a wave and nod from Jeremy and a nod from Noel!  |

Met him after the soundcheck last year and got his autograph on my copy of his album.

Gonna try and meet Noel before his show tomorrow. I wrap up with class around 1 so I should have time to stop by the venue and he if he is hanging around the Ryman or downtown.
