It's another version of Stop The Clocks. It's pretty uninteresting. I much prefer the Oasis "demo" and the album track, although i was never a fan of that tune Record Machine and Stop The Clocks are the very same core recordings that were on the DBTT leaked tracks, but they sound to me like the bootleg version had had more work done. On Stop The Clocks the differences are obvious, shitload of overdubs missing, RM sounds very much like just a different mix, with the odd effect here and there removed on the bootleg version. |

If I Had A Gun has the old lyrics n all. Killer! Not quite. I always preferred Noel's "forgive me", instead of "excuse me", but that isn't on there. There's a couple of bits after the 2nd chorus which are close to the soundcheck version, but other than that, the lyrics all sound the same as the final version to me. |

The highlights from the CD for me are Everybody's On The Run, If I Had A Gun, Fallen Angel, I'd Pick You Every Time and Freaky Teeth. I really love Noel's acoustic stuff. Hopefully one day he will make an acoustic album.

I'd Pick You Every Time has got a John Lennon's Julia feel about it in the finger picking and arpeggios. A gorgeous version, puts the b-side version to shame.

By the way, just compare the mastering on the bootleg version of Record Machine to the official version. Just shocking. Who is Noel paying to do this shitty work, and is he really listening to it before signing off on it? It's distorting all over the place and is like listening to the track on a literal set of cans. Stop The Clocks isn't much better, and God only knows how much better the rest of the tracks on the CD sounded before this joker got his hands on it.
