Wow. Fallen Angel sounds fantastic! Again...Noel should we including stuff like this in his acoustic gigs. They currently are too Oasis heavy. Throw in EOTR and Broken Arrow.

Fallen Angel, If I Had A Gun and EOTR are simply beautiful  I actually prefer this version of IIHAG - it's like the soundcheck one we all loved so much but in good quality. TDOYAM is very interesting, especially the middle 8 - those sound effects on there and on the vocals of SOTWB are probably hints to what the AA stuff could have been (if they hadn't decided just to loop the same thing for 20 minutes). The gig itself is utterly fantastic. I had goosebumps most of the time ;D |

any1 have scans of the artwork etc? is the demo cd in its own case or attached to the rest of the package? anyone planning on upping the demos to youtube?

This demo album goes to show how much this album was fucked over by production. Wish he just released all of his albums like this. Erm, I disagree. As much as EOTR sounds great, I still prefer the album version over the demo. I'd only really take DO and Broken Arrow over their album counterparts. |

I think the album's production is fine outside "Stop The Clocks". This demo CD is just a nice gift for us hardcore fans. |

I wonder if some of those are the Garageband demos he talked about during the DOYS interview. Some of them sound too unpolished to be from a real studio. I do remember Noel and Gem in one of their DOYS interviews, probably the same one as you're thinking of, saying they recorded the demos more roughly as Noel's demos were to of such a high standard, that they used to argue with Sardy as to what they should change from them. Sounds like from that moment, Noel's been committed to recording rougher demos, so it gives him somewhere to go when recording them properly. |
