A bit off topic, but I found this anecdote interesting; "I don't believe people can go into a studio and record B-sides," Noel ponders. "It's either a good song or a bad song. And I never intend to write a bad song! The only time I've really sat down to write a B-side I wrote "Cast No Shadow", which was supposed to be a B-side but it ended up really good. There's a bit at the end of "Cast No Shadow" when someone says down the mic really quietly, 'Tha'll do for a B-side'. So we had to take that out when it came to put it on the album."

I miss Noel's old attitude about treating every song as if it were an A-side. I think in recent years that has definitely been let slip, so we end up with stuff like The Quiet Ones which is blatantly just a tossed off song intended only for a B-side. Nowadays the really excellent B-sides are the exception rather than the rule (have been since Let's All Make Believe, really - I LOVE that song).
My favourite bit of on-track dialogue actually comes at the end of the demo for Carry Us All, where Noel shouts "I've pulled me fucking groin!"
Shame it wasn't on the final version!

Street Fighting Man: "Fuckin' hell, fuckin, vaginain', fuckin' lawyers everywhere, bastards"(?)
[/quote]
I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere it says "Fuckin' hell, fuckin' vaginain' fuckin' wires everywhere...", as in guitar wires/cables/leads.
Like I say, might be wrong!

I'm being completly honest when I say that's a relief. Much less naff.
Edit: Listened to it a few times since and it definitely doesn't sound like 'ok' to me.
