If it was a bit cheaper, I might have gone for it... But not a big enough blur fan to fork out the money... £170, I think?

I really like Blur, but 150 bucks is a lot of money, especially if you already own some if the albums...at least the Smiths and Stone Roses box sets were a lot cheaper (because they have less material, of course). Yes please! I would pay 150+ for "Oasis complete" in a heartbeat

I'm really into "13" at the moment.
It's got shades of Supergrass, Beta Band, Super Furry Animals, Beck etc.

13 is quite unique, Albarn stepped back abit and let Coxon mastermind that album and the results are staggering. Love Caramel + Battle..
Although Do Distance is ALL Albarn and its a truly special song

Although Do Distance is ALL Albarn and its a truly special song Being 13 my favourite album of all time, I'd say Graham's album is their selftitled, even the band says so in the 21 booklet. 13 is more of a colaboration between the both of them, but the lyrics and the sad, melancholic music is inspired by Damon's breakup with Justine Frischman, so it's really a very personal and intimate record I think, which takes advantage of Coxon's trouble with alcoholism, and well, with himself, so you're right too, songs like Bugman, Battle or Caramel would be nothing without him. About the 21 boxset, I've already got it and it's great, but if I wasn't a die-hard Blur fan I wouldn't buy it, just wait for the special edition albums to get a bit cheaper and buy the ones you want. I hope somebody gets some of the songs like Hope you find your suburb or Seven Days on the internet cause they're only on the box and they're truly great, I'll see if I can manage to upload them if anyone wants them.

There are some great b-sides in this set, most of them are on Youtube to have a listen to, so it would be great to get a hold of it as you can't get their b-sides anywhere. Like a few of you, my favourite one is 13 also. It's experimental and dark without ever straying too far to being too left-field. In terms of reinvention, it's one of the most remarkable ones in pop, even better than the self-titled album.

In terms of reinvention, it's one of the most remarkable ones in pop, even better than the self-titled album. I'll try to upload some of the unreleased songs to youtube tomorrow, like Damon's home versions of Beetlebum and For Tomorrow, which are kinda interesting to listen to. Maybe im getting them mixed up, i remember an interview when Damon described an album as "grahams album" i thought it was 13. Love Blur aswell, Such a change in dynamic from Great Escape Me too, it's my second favourite Blur album, love Graham's guitar in every track there, so good. Hope You Find Your Suburb is the standout of the boxset for me, such a lovely melody, with worked lyrics it would have been a single. You can listen to an instrumental version of it here :
