they probably did....how can he say he dosent like a band if hes never heard them??? like when he said in the austrian interview that oasis was a bad band name...then says in the bbc radio 1 interview when jo whiley asks him if (a new band) wud make it and he said wot with a name like that? hmmmmm needs to sort it out. i think he goes on image rather than actually listening to the bands songs properly like he wud if the beatles wud release something new for instance.
