He did sing Champagne Supernova, on the US tour in 96. Think you'll find a version in Sound and Vision, possibly.
I would personally be happy to hear anything that he originally sang but definitely not Listen Up, Slide Away etc. I say definitely not, I'd no doubt enjoy it, but fuck it people complain about Liam butchering Oasis classics on the last tours, Noel can't come close to Liam's delivery of those songs.
The one I'd forgive would be Cast No Shadow seeing as he did a gun studio version of it.

Slide Away and Listen Up would be done acoustically and in recent times Noel has definitely had the better vocal delivery on those songs.

As for Slide Away I'd rather hear Liam singing it badly than Noel's version, still doesn't come close for me. Although I do enjoy Noel nailing the 'take me there' bit at the end, but the rest, Liam all the way. Just my opinion of course.

He hasn't sang it recently but I could only imagine how badly he'd butcher it in the middle of a tour nowadays. Personally I think Noel does the most consistent version of Slide Away. Liam at his best gives an unbelievable version of it. I don't have a time machine though.

I love Noel's acoustic version of Slide Away. The version that I have on the Dreams We Have as Children CD is one of my favorite things ever.

Last time Liam sang Listen Up was 1996-09-08 Jones Beach Theatre, Long Island, NY. Tremendous performances of the song during that last leg of the MG tour.
There was another gig shortly after (1996-09-10 Nissan Pavilion, Bristow) but there is no recording of it so we don't know for sure, but one could assume that Listen Up was played here as well.

I would like Noel to play again Step out, to me the song completely fits in nowadays setlist, its not an impossible addition as it would be Idlers dream, sitting here in silence on my own, etc

Actually, starting off with "Can You See It Now? (I Can See It Now!!) would be a brilliant way to start the gig instead of (It's Good)To Be Free

I think the following tunes wouldn't be too farfetched for the current tour:
Underneath the sky: this song is brilliant and Noel already proved it suits perfectly to his voice (there's an acoustic version for a French radio station in '96). Plus the piano solo would sound incredible, wheter with full band or just Noel and Mike.
She's Electric: Great tune with an awesome vibe. Noel played a lot between 2001 and 2002, he could easily drop Its Good To Be Free or Mucky Fingers for this.
Step Out: Same as above. Great song, sounds great live and I feel like Noel's setlist could use a few more rocking tunes, besides Mucky Fingers and Freaky Teeth.
Slide Away: would be epic in the acoustic form, with Noel and Mike in the piano. It was fun to hear a different take on Supersonic, but im already a bit bored from that version.
Listen Up: Same as above. or maybe could work with full band, like they did wth Talk Tonight and Half The World Away (both which have been over played by Noel in the last few years)

I bet if Noel invested on a more acoustic driven version for the song it would sound amazng. Plus, his vocals improved a lot since 1996, im sure we are all aware. It still wouldnt sound as good as sang by Liam, but could be really good. I doubt it will ever happen though.

Two Songs:
1. Lord Don't Slow Me Down. I think it would make a great opener instead of It's Good to Be Free
2. The Girl in the DIrty Shirt. Noel's version and lyric changes at Dublin in 1997 on this song were great. It was probably the best song of the night. Mike Rowe was on keys and he'd do a great job on that song. I think it would fit perfectly into the set.
