I think we can all agree that both Noel and Liam are horrible sell-outs and we should just find another band to enjoy. I mean Liam has never mimed before (except all of the times he has mimed) and Noel has never toured with a boring, MOR band (except Travis and when he played with Chris Martin and etc). lol. Finally some reason. Oasis had Robbie William on their stage at Glastonbury. And both Gallaghers were fine with that. Until Noel or Liam beat that mistake I don't think anyone has any business bring out the "never would have happened with Oasis" card. |

Get a clue. Noel isn't supporting Snow Patrol. He's doing a string headline gigs. They have the same billing. And I never said anything about Liam selling out by playing the Olympics. Stop being such a psycho. Liam isn't seeling out at all doing the olympics. He's just part of a big even celebration like the live aid. No problem here. Yet if it was Noel doing it you would say it was. Interesting. Absolutely not, I would say "finally some exposure without selling out" just like I did for Liam. If you knew how to read you would notice that I've complained in the same post that Noel isn't doing it and prefers touring with boring bands. Oasis has mimed countless time.The olympics are a huge show like the superbowl, they don't want any troubles so they want mime. I'm ok with it. |

Snow Patrol are absolutely fucking shite and I have zero interest in these gigs, or indeed how much or how little exposure he'll gain from it. That ship has sailed, he's been well established for nigh on 20 years and is in his mid 40s, not a young band trying to make a name for themselves.
It really doesn't bother me either way as they're just gigs. It totally sums this board up though that every thread for the past 3 years has to turn into this shit, you have people who take great offence that Noel and Liam don't live up to their unrealistically high expectations, people who'll defend them to the hilt regardless and wind up merchants who'll attack them to cause arguments. I wish they'd just merge the boards back into one instead of seperate Oasis, Beady Eye and HFB forums, the Noel board is predominately made up of arselicking bellends, nobody bothers with the Beady Eye one and the Oasis board is just one big "will they/wont they reunite" thread.
At least you'd get a range of topics rather than just one big pro/anti Noel/Liam argument in every thread.

If you don't want to see Snow Patrol, don't see them. Walk away when they're on stage, and come back to see Noel. I'm not sure what to tell you there. Why does it always have to be about a message, or a statement, or whatever...? Who the hell cares who he's playing with? He's playing, and I'm going to see him.
