I can't figure out why so many fans dislike this album.
To each their own but I find it much easier to play it in it's entirety than BHN (who has that much time?) or SOTSOG.
3 x platinum in UK compared to 2x for SOTSOG.
Other than FON I don't dislike any song, and yes I DO like (...all in the Mind).

I like the album...but it's hard for me to describe how I feel about it. From an objective point of view is a very good album...from my fan view lacks something, lacks soul in it or something. The Hindu Times is the only song that gets me going, it's fantastic...but the rest...I don't know... Again, if this wasn't Oasis, I'd think this is a fantastic record. *EDIT* Ok, I just listened to the whole album, and I feel pretty much the same, I mean, I LIKE all the songs...but I don't LOVE any...except for THT...HIABP and LBL are great too. I don't skip any song though...I even like FON...I like 'em all...but don't get to love 'em somehow

[/b]all in the Mind).[/b][/quote] thumbs up! some fans seem to be dissappointed about tracks like she is love and PAITM..the same happened to the entire album SOTSOG. i admit not every song on these 2 albums is a killer but the same goes for their beloved definitely maybe. i think the problem is that die-hard fans can't get used to a new sound, even if it's still sounding good. but i dont blame them anymore. people have a certain taste and thats that. of course if HC had sold 10 million copies every would have gone nuts about the record...

3 x platinum in UK compared to 2x for SOTSOG. Not sure what that has to do with anything. Anyway, when I first heard it I was really gutted, I thought it was awful. Then I started liking it a bit (I forced myself to I think), now I dislike it again. The production is awful. HIABP is almost ruined by the production IMO. Same goes for HT. What Noel likes about fake choirs I don't know. The word I'd use for it formulaic. Parts of it sound so contrived, especially Little By Little. "Rights lads, I've got a song that goes verse, bridge, chrous. Verse, bridge, chorus. Guitar break, chorus - that's gonna be a single." The opening line of LBL make me cringe everytime I hear it. Also, Noel's said that it was the same in the studio. Liam sings, Noel does lead, Andy bass etc etc. Also I can't understand the track-listing. Why on earth SIL and FON were included ahead of some of the b-sides is beyond me. I'm all for having great b-sides but when what is on the album is so below par it just makes no sense. So I suppose there's quite a lot I don't like about it ;D Songbird's good though

I'm not a fan of HC at all, not to say that is doesn't have a few good tunes, it is just Oasis by numbers, further let down by lack of imagination and poor production. I think DBTT succeeds exactly where HC doesn't.

i like the hindu times a lot...classic oasis tune FON: i love it, it's rocky and the lyrics are so funny ;D HIABP is good but take a listen at a live version and it becomes great SCYHO, classic oasis ballad songbird: although many of you see it as liam's masterpiece i have to admit that i dont like it much a bit cheesy IMO i love LBL with a nice guitar solo probably all in the mind is ok i think she is love is sweet unlike songbird BOADC the REAL liam's masterpiece...emotion, good lyrics and a proper atmosphere for that song...a very good surprise better man is OK a solid album on the whole with some great highlights

I love Heathen Chemistry. There are a couple iffy tracks. But I'll put The Hindu Times, Little By Little, SCYHO and Songbird up against any 4 songs from any album released in the past 5 years with the exception of DBTT

I really like it me.
Think its because at the time I'd kinda gone off Oasis (loved them as a kid, then went through the stage you go through where you dont really like music), and as said above, its a great album for the non-Oasis fans. Its very simplistic, and doesnt have the same kick that Definitely Maybe, Whats the Story, and Be Here Now have/had, but all the same, its a good album.
People are raving about Dont Believe the Truth, which I agree is a very good album, but its very similar to Heathen Chemistry imo, and that was critisied.
Born on a different cloud is a fucking chooooon anarl!

The songs aren't bad, but they don't have any soul. Born on a Different Cloud is so awesome though. Liam's best work to date.

HC is good, but not as good as DBTT. To me it's a transitional album, personally I don't think the band new what they were capable of while they were recording it.
