Bono's voice is clearly recognizable, but often it veers into 'warbling' territory, and it's totally painful to behold. I won't give the guy house room, but fair enough if others dig the dude. Same

Liam Gallagher - Noel's writing has always been great, but Liam's voice is what defined Oasis. Voice of a generation IMO. People may say he was ripping off Lennon, and while he may have went for a Lennon-esque sound on some songs, he had his own style and was able to sing powerfully and emotionally.
Michael Jackson - Personal issues aside, extremely talented and he could sing in any genre... his ability to appeal to everyone from metalheads to R&B fans did a lot to promote world peace and unity
Axl Rose - Extremely versatile voice, known for his powerful falsetto but he could sing lower well as well in his day... Guns 'n Roses would have been known as one of the greatest bands in history if not for his problems with Slash... like Liam, his voice isn't really the same today but you can't discount the past
Chester Bennington - Don't particularly like Linkin Park but no one else can sing like him. Does well at both the softer ballad-style songs and the near-metal rockers
Thom Yorke - Oh wait, I forgot that this is a TOP 5 vocalists list...
