How about Morning Glory?
In general, I think that's the best song to "convert" people with, especially hard rock fans. It's probibly the most rock n roll song they ever did.

DLBIA, the masterplan and whatever should do it. And I hate rap.

I'm not surprised she wasn't too fond of Rock n Roll star. The first couple of times I heard it I just thought it was an average song, but now I think very differently of it.

Update on the situation: First of all, thanks very much again to everyone that suggested something...I bombarded her with as many suggestions as got put up, but unfortunately thus far, she has either not downloaded much or has downloaded one or two and has not liked it Examples: After TIOBI went #1 last week, she heard it...she said it sounded off alright, but she then got bored by it (somehow, don't ask me why or how) Bring It On Down was apparently rubbish because you can't hear what is sung...needless to say, I told her to get her head examined It doesn't look too good now, but I will keep trying for just a bit longer, and if it still doesn't work, I'll give up the ghost and leave her to go back to the sheep and or the flavour of the month, which for her is Green Day Many thanks again

Give up on her, she's a lost cause. She's only into what's cool, not a musical purist if you ask me.

It depends their taste. A friend of mine LOVED cigs and alcohol but hated don't look back in anger. Everybody in the US knows Champagne and Wonderwall. Another friend loved half the world away. It came on and they asked who sang it because it was a beautiful song. what guy wouldnt like a song called "cigarettes and alcohol" ;D and for the other guy,, fade away is a great song to convert, some of the best lyrics noel has ever written... other than that i would have to say DLBIA

Last night I thought it was time to introduce my kid sister (9yr old) to some proper music. I played her Rock 'N' Roll Star, Columbia, Supersonic, Bring It On Down, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Digsy's Dinner, Acquiesce, Stay Young and Headshrinker. It was all going well until I put on The Masterplan, which she said was "a rubbish song" . With my own kids, I'll bombard them whilst they're still in the womb!

I'll update you on my sister situation. Played her the whole of Definitely Maybe. After Supersonic, I said; "that was a classic you just listened too", she agreed. I got little reaction for the rest of the album. I then put on Morning Glory and the first three tracks got no reaction. All of a sudden she's singing along to the chorus of Don't Look Back In Anger! Either she'd heard it before or she had a spiritual connection to it (she was born the day it went to #1). After that I ended my day's work to listen to the Pompey match on the radio.

After another listen of (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, plenty of progress has been made. She liked nearly everything on it; She's Electric and Morning Glory (which I though would be too heavy for her tastes) proved popular. What brought the biggest smile to my face though, was when I heard her singing Roll With It later in the day!
