Acoustic intro sounds almost identical to demo of Love Like A Bomb, anyone else hear that? Thankfully that's where the comparisons to that horrible song end. LLaB is one of my least favourite oasis songs. It sounds horrible, its too simple and it might be Liam's worst recorded vocal take.

Noel got the idea for the title of this track from Sara. When he first played it to her, her reaction was: "Oh Lord, what is this shit!? At least it's not as bad as 'I'd Pick You Everytime', which is utter gobshite. Oh, and lose the fucking toad line."
True story. I have my sources.

The sounds at the very beginning reminded me of To Be Where There's Life. Nice little demo - could be the basis of a good future song.

It would make a decent transition track, perhaps linking SOTWB and SB&JF. Nothing more, nothing less.

The start of the song sounds like a 'Love Like A Bomb'. Pretty shit tbh, but thanks for the link.

The only interesting thing in this song is that "solo" section after the second verse, those chords are new for a Noel Gallagher song.

I like the energy it transpires when the solo guitar kicks in, but the problem is that nothing really happens after that. It lacks a good melody variation.
Hope it's never released as an album track.

somehow it's odd, that most of the people here are moaning, if there is a Noel, Beady Eye or Oasis song, which goes unusual ways or leaves the typical song structure. and this one wasn't even that unusual or different. it's really weird, and i understand, why noel scrapped the AA recordings, cause it would have been risky, when people are that fixed for typical songs. i know its just opinion, but i really hope, that they don't give a shit in future anymore and release stuff, that is not that predictable and same old .... everybody freaked out when "it makes me wanna cry" appeared, for me its just another acoustic track, which even has clear melody similarities to a known Nirvana song and i didn't understand the hype around it, found it really boring to be honest. same thing goes for the lyrics, don't understand why everybody freaks out for lyrics. John Lennon had superb lyrics but after 1967 every track sounded like drugged up LSD child rhymes, which i like, but then i can't understand why "maybe i don't really wanna know, how your garden grows" is so much better than "thank you for your smile you make it all worth while to us"
but like i said it, just opinions.
i'm waiting for the hate comments to find me ....

This is Noel's AGN. There, I said it. AGN was on an album IIRC I like this more than AGN as the direction the song is headed is a good one, I'd like more stuff like that from Noel. Of course right now, it's only solid b-side/album track material, but I don't believe this is anywhere near finished. I also love the fact that he copied the ending from the Smiths' Asleep

It's one of those 'unfinished' throwaway songs of Noels like Sitting Here In Silence and Those Swollen Hand Blues. It would make a decent b-side. Thanks for sharing.

Best part is that unexpected lullaby bit that end. Makes the entire song, really. Really? Because I think it's fucking creepy and I have no idea why it's there. As for the song itself, the song structure reminds me a lot of "Hey You" and those other pre-Oasis Noel songs from the '80s where he'd just write a song of random verses without a real melody. About the same lyrical quality as well.

It's alright, nothing special. It's a cool concept track, nothing more though. The intro is pretty much Love Like A Bomb (which I like, always gets me in a good mood) mixed with To Be Where There's Life's sitar. Cool idea, just wish it was more complete.
