Mmm, it's obviously good but it's very predictable. Not amazing! Is it 'Yesterday' the little melody in the end?? Yeah Yesterday on the music box.

I'm a bit surprised at all the praise it's getting. I mean it's alright, but it's no more than a decent b-side for me, it doesn't really go anywhere.

Given it another 5 listens since my last post, I like it quite a lot now.
Still nothing more than b-side material though.

Am I the only thinking this sounds like one of them tracks that comes on about half an hour after the last track finishes? LOL thats the perfect way to describe it. Not a bad little tune. Im definitely interested in knowing what else might be on this disc. Bah.

It's a work in progress...a sketch. At the moment it's a below average b-side in my opinion. But I do believe that it does have potential to either be a high quality b-side or maybe an album cut. But in it's present state, it's decent....I guess.

Nothing radical is it. I honestly feel that if the noise (and its only noise at this point) being made about the BE album is even half accurate then Noel can not make another HFB album. It's too safe, I know he is getting on but Guitar solo-less folk numbers can't and won't cut it. Noel needs to think more Ian Brown solo than Richard Ashcroft in my opinion.
Revolution song. This. God help us all. Etc etc are ok, some are borderline genius BUT he is free to do whatever he so pleases now he is solo and what is the point of sticking to the same old formula? He does not need the money from sales or tours surely.

You can't be serious sure i can, its something fresh, that this tune comes with sitar and feedbacks and a nice electric guitar. when i read "oh lord" demo i expected some fuckin ballad again, but then there was this strange unexpected but nice combination of these elements and i like how its kinda trippy in a typical noel gallagher way.

The man is my hero and I love HFB but even I realise that if he wants to stay relevant in musical circles as much as press/public circles then another classic harmonious, melodic, traditional Noel album is not required, we have enough of a back catalogue of those to go back too. Only my view.

Maybe Oh Lord, along with Freaky Teeth, were earmarked for the AA album that was eventually scrapped? Just a theory.

Agree it sounds like songs from DBTT and close enough to Love like a Bomb.
Sonically it's interesting, like folk from the 21st century. The song itself isn't too original, but for that kinda style, it doesn't matter, it's more a prayer than a song innit ? kinda like my sweet lord, with a mantra repeated over and over again.

up and down like a toad isnt a great lyric! Nah its not very good, but still. Even Lennon/McCartney have some ghastly lyrics in their working demos. Yesterday was once called Scrambled Eggs! "Scrambled eggs, oh my baby how I love your legs" I think people are overjudging this track. Its clearly a demo and a work in progress that we were probably never going to hear otherwise. This is more to test drive a melody than anything else. I love hearing stuff like this, regardless of its "quality" as a song.
