Hey everyone... We've all seen on The NGHFB tour, that noel has basically kept the same setlist every gig , with one or two exceptions... Although he's playing in Croke Park , Dublin , 26th of June as an opening act for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Considering the type of band that RHCP are , and the fact that it is holding a population of 80000 , is there a chance that he will change the setlist to a more Oasis'y , guitar-solo, champagne supersova type one? I cant imagine him playing if i had a gun for 80000 people before RHCP come on to play Monarchy of roses . any ideas/opinions/hints are welcome. Thanks a lot

Surely he'll play if I had a gun, he loves that song and it was a single. I hope he'll drop it's good to be free and one other song (talk tonight e.g.) for a classic and a 'heavier' song

It'll definitely be made up from the festival set list. Whether is a long as it remains to be seen. No new songs. No Champagne Supernova.

It'll be the same. It's Noel Gallagher.

RHCP's are a great band, shit loads of brilliant songs. They should have split when John left though. Ive only heard the singles from the new album but its seems pretty shity.

The gig was no where near sold out in the end last night (I wasn't there because I had other commitments last night) but I wasn't surprised. The RHCP just aren't the same draw they just to be. No one gives a fuck about them any more and the new album is crap without John.

they lost one of the best guitarists of all time, thats the main reason why they suck nowadays

they lost one of the best guitarists of all time, thats the main reason why they suck nowadays the chillis are still a brilliant band, maybe not as good as they used to be but still brilliant. and the new guitarist josh is pretty good too, he's definitely capable of playing all the old songs. i think if people gave the new album a chance they'd really like it, for me its on the same level as stadium arcadium. nowhere near by the way or californication but they would've never reached that level of greatness again even if john had of stayed in the band

I was there and I'm guessing the stadium had around 45k in the total. The upper tiers were not all open and the others had a ton of seats open....
