Is your friend a gril or a guy??..cause if is a girl you should include Slide Away, Stand By Me and Don't Go Away....you all love that song ...and so do I but... stop cliches!!! i love those songs but girls like rockers too if you want to convert someone i think you have to put the obvious ones, i mean the big hits... b-sides and accoustic might be too much for a start... maybe a good live version of DLBIA ;D Girls aren't always into the same shit. I had a girl who didn't like DLBIA and Whatever, and didn't like Oasis until one time when me and my friend blasted Cigs and Alcohol in the car

I made one for a friend who's into solid rock but loves coldplay. I think the flow works well and shows a wide variety throughout their career: 1) fuckin' in the bushes 2) bring it on down 3) morning glory 4) some might say 5) columbia 6) talk tonight 7) don't go away 8) gas panic 9) meaning of soul 10) slide away 11) A bell will ring 12) Songbird 13) Live Forever 14) Acquiesce 15) Supersonic 16) Champagne Supernova 17) Married With Children

I had a girl who didn't like DLBIA and Whatever, and didn't like Oasis until one time when me and my friend blasted Cigs and Alcohol in the car I don't agree.... I knew a girl who took my Oasis compilation CD one day (made up of mostly WTSMG, BHN, and songs from HC) and she started out listening to Little By Little (the 12th track) and skipped her way around till she found Wonderwall... for the next month and a half, everytime she saw me, she'd say "Maybe, yer gonna be the one that saves me..." and I'd crack up.... Anyway, I agree that you did a good thing by not giving him songs that are a bit cliche, but you almost have to... I mean, you have to let people hear the Wonderwalls and the Live Forevers... but you put some great B-sides on there, but left several out (ie: The Masterplan, Rockin' Chair). Oh well, good luck with the "conversion". ;D

It'll have to be a double album. Pull a Foo Fighters and make disc 1 all rockers and the mellow stuff on disc 2.
Aside from the ones already mentioned, get Fade Away, the Warchild Version on there.
