Does anybody know who produced this track?
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Richard Fearless and Tim Holmes (Death in Vegas) were credited but I can't find anything online to confirm this.
Does anyone have the Japanese edition of Don't Believe The Truth that they could check the booklet or in the rare case the Press Statement that came with some of the 12" vinyl promo?
Thanks for any replies.

always found the ending to this after the build up quite euphoric. Would make sense if it was from the Death in Vegas sessions.
Spoke to Damon Minchella from OCS who had that Death in Vegas produced album, said it was absolutely dire. Anyway, he hates Noel/Oasis these days.

Really like I Can See It Now. It's like there's two separate tracks being played at the same time, which finally merge into one to make a euphoric conclusion.
I understand why it was left off of DBTT (although I think it could have worked as an interlude somewhere), but to me it's a much better instrumental than FITB and AQP.
This may just have to be the most overlooked/underrated Oasis track since 2005. Nothing mind blowing, but no one ever mentions it, which is a damn shame.

Jim, I just checked my copy of the Japanese Special Edition as well as the mini lp version. There is no additional info in the booklet, other than that the two bonus tracks were written by Noel. It says the same things as the UK booklet.

I'd always thought it was produced by Sardy. Hmmm...maybe its not.
But I do love the track. It would have made a good 'walk on' music, in place of FITB. Not that I dislike FITB, but just in case they wanted to do something different to set the mood.
This song definitely deserved a proper release...really should have been one of the bsides to LTBL.

Spoke to Damon Minchella from OCS who had that Death in Vegas produced album, said it was absolutely dire. Anyway, he hates Noel/Oasis these days. The guy is a bitter twat... and the reason he's bitter is because Noel & Liam were not happy with him and they decided to turn round to him and say they were leaving. Noel said it himself in an interview with David Walliams a few years ago... DW: You started working on this album with Death In Vegas as producers. Were you going to make a more experimental record? NG: I didn't want to go into the studio without a producer. When I've co-produced I've got sick of being sat at a mixing desk and the rest of the band being sat on the couch behind you being half-pissed. I thought: 'I want to be in a band. I can't be arsed being a producer any more.' Liam hates producers but he had worked with Death In Vegas on one of their records. So it was like something out of Star Wars - we had to get Liam to think that asking them to produce the record was his idea. DW: But you scrapped those sessions? NG: We just didn't have the songs at the time. Richard [Fearless of Death In Vegas] said that 'It's all about the vibe', but I knew the vibe would only last us about six weeks. We called a meeting to tell him, and when he walked into the pub, Liam said: 'Oh, is that my phone?', and walked off. I had to tell Richard we were going to call it a day. Told him that we needed to write some new songs - and then we weren't able to re-convene. But there's something there for a box set or something.

I'm confused as to how Damon Minchella fits into all of the Death In Vegas sessions.

He is an original member of Ocean Colour Scene and now working with Richard Ashcroft. So I'd say 100% IF he still had it he wouldn't leak it. He could be asked about it again/more though

I have the Japanese version of Don't Believe The Truth but I couldn't tell you who produced the song. But I've always liked the track and it's available on Amazon music to stream or it was the last time I looked.

I’d always assumed this track had the fingerprints of the chemical brothers on it. The whole song sounds like it’s been ripped off of the Surrender album from 1999 and I’m convinced elements from that album are sampled in the song

I actually like the song and I think that it's quite good. I haven't listened to it for a while though as I don't listen to it very often but when I do I always enjoy it.

"Can you see it now" is a slower, heavier "Mucky Fingers". Probably an earlier version or a remix. It has the same chords, same structure.

I wouldn't change Don't Believe The Truth at all and I like it as it is. Also I wouldn't put Those Swollen Hand Blues on any of Oasis's albums because it's only b.side material. I can See It Now could have been an extra track on Don't Believe The Truth and the album could have had 12 tracks instead of 11.

Also, it's a shame that Can You See It Now was only on the Japanese version of Don't Believe The Truth and if Noel or the band didn't want to put it on the UK version then they should have released it as a b.side instead of (Sitting Here In Silence) On My Own which must be one of Noel's worst songs.
