It's good. I think Noel should have saved it for Be Here Now, rather than put it out as a b-side.

It's good. I think Noel should have saved it for Be Here Now, rather than put it out as a b-side. I don't agree.... it really doesn't fit into either WTSMG or BHN... WTSMG is a bit more moderately paced, while BHN is a little more pop-rockish. The Masterplan doesn't really fit anywhere in there, which is why it was made a B-side, and eventually, an album name. But to answer the question, yes. The Masterplan gives me goose-bumps everytime I listen to it...(Knebworth and MTV Unplugged are great renditions...)

i think so dix ..both the song and the lp are pure quality....you know its interseting the songs in the masterplan were written eary in there carear and they didnt make the first 2 or 3lps ..look how many great tunes are on there ..i would be curious to see if the stones zep u2 coldplay ever released a lp of b sides and songs not good enough to make the cut so early in there career how strong there work would have sounded next to this??.....this is not comparing bands and saying whos bigger ..its more of a testasment to how brilliant noels early work was ..his outakes and b sides were fuckin mega...and i dont think mick chris bono plant could have wrote a b sided lp so strong after releasing only 3 lps...thats class

I know The Masterplan doesn't fit in with BHN or MG, but I think it definitely should have been a a-side. The Masterplan album is brilliant, but how many ppl buy b-sides albums, personally, I think most ppl look at b-side albums negatively. In most causes, ppl view b-sides as second grade songs, but in Oasis' case, that's not the case.

The Masterplan may not fit BHN or WTSMG, but I wouldn't complain if it was there.
