Was lucky enough to see the second night of the Roses in Barcelona - had bought tix on the basis that they would have ironed out any first night problems Let me just say - if anyone at all questions the validity of the reunion, or is cynical about the amounts of money involved and the motivation, then they just don't understand rock'n'roll at all. It was an amazing night, a real "I was there" gig. They played a different setlist from the first night, missing out 'ten storey love song' but adding in others for a longer set. I'd caught some shows in the nineties, but after reni had gone, and I tell you, everything you've ever read about the man is true. At certain points, such as 'Fool's Gold', Squire and Reni were just legendary, Page and Bonham but without the pomp. Ian Brown SANG, Mani is a ROCK. All those on here that nitpick Liam's live vocals would probably have a field day, but like I said, you either understand live rock'n'roll or you don't. Like all great bands, the off stage 'soap opera' aspect of these four older men getting back together and re-discovering their friendship plays a big part of this story - the looks between them throughout and the final group hug after 'Resurection' were just wonderful moments, no spin, no hype, no cynicism there - real stuff, touching everyone in the room. If you get the chance to see them, go for it. I was lucky enough to be amongst 2,000 in what will probably be one of the smallest gigs they ever play again, but I'd happily be amongst 80,000 at heaton park if it were possible. Fucking great, quite simply. btw, obviously there isn't a Roses forum as good as this place is for Oasis but any tips on the best place to look for recordings of the night etc?

Sounds great! I wish I could go to one of the gigs, but they're not playing anywhere near me. Consider yourself lucky! The don't stop forum (dontstopforum.co.uk)is quite good, although I don't know about recordings - spiralthroughanotherday.blogspot.co.uk/ has lots of bootlegs, maybe they'll add some new ones. Oh, and which new songs did they play instead of TSLS?

And now, apparently, there's a rumor going around that Reni walked off stage with Ian saying "The drummers gone home" with the gig ending before the encore. People are saying it's technical issues.

Hope this was just a sound problem. Will be actually devastated if this ends the reunion!

same thing happened at our show in a'dam, Ian came back on stage to tell the audience that he wanted an encore but the drummer went home. Then he told the audience that the drummer was a vagina and people start throwing stuff at the stage
