this is what really matters. The atmosphere is what really matters? More than the music more than the band? It's a bunch of english guys singing DLBIA so loud that you can't hear Noel that matters? If the atmosphere is fun it's all a nostalgia act because Noel plays a lot of Oasis songs. I told you what a great atmosphere was, Manchester 2005. Great gig, great music, great band, great frontman and great fun crow. We're so far from it with HFB that I can't understand all this enthusiasm. It's time to admit the obvious flaws of it instead of saying "Noel is god" everytime he throws a new song in the setlist after 6 months touring the same boring one. Why are you so angry with life?

Why are you so angry with life? I have this recurring nightmare where I'm having sex with my girlfriend and she's loving it, but truefaith is standing behind us, yelling at her. "He is not outstanding in bed! I cannot believe your screams of pleasure! Your enthusiasm is delusion! What he is doing is boring! This is nothing but nostalgia for times when you had sex with your ex-boyfriend Liam! You are nothing but a fangirl!" This image has ruined sex for me for at least the next year...

Actually not at all. On their last tour Liam had sung very well, when Noel hasn't. If Liam had sung like that on the entire DOYS tour and Noel like he did, the tour would have been "oustanding". Now Noel has lost it and Liam has it again. Spoken like a true Liam fanboy. "Liam had sung very well" - no he hadn't "Liam has it again" - no he hasn't Granted, Liam was better on the last tour than probably the last 10 years with Oasis. But that's like saying soft poo is an improvement from diarrhoea. When I saw BDI at Summer Sonic, Liam was absolutely shocking. Nasally, whiny and out of breath. I hate how Liam shouts high notes, instead of singing falsetto or just not including them in his songs. I could understand with Oasis, but Liam's actually electing to include these ridiculous notes in his songs and then trying but failing to hit them live. I thought liam was great that gig actually.

Noel sounds great. early gigs, he had a hard time with Everybody's On the run and If I Had A Gun... it was his first gigs singing all the songs. but he got so much better at it. being the only one into the spotlight and all. his vocals are spot on. he can sing whatever the fuck he wants. a whole lot of fucking dimensions, if you wanna take it that way. Apart from Broken Arrow...

I feel sorry for Noel, maybe his vocals aren't very good but their still pretty good, at best his vocals are good and he still sounds allright at worst whereas Liam sounds great at best but pretty poor at worst. What makes him stand out so much is the fact that HFB really are a shocking band, we all know about the lead guitarist but I think that fat dude on drums is pretty awful as well

To be fair, Oasis at Slane was a bit of a let down (for me anyway)
The Prodigy and Kasabian outshone them on the day. They just looked like a band playing a nostalgia tour, which is why I don't want a reunion.

I was at the barrier... I still have flashbacks of being squashed up against it

please Please, tell me your opinions on both gigs. Not the point. I can tell you that I've seen Oasis 6 times, HFB 2 and there's no way in hell HFB was better than any Oasis I've seen, even the less good one. In the end when you say something like this HFB gigs was better than this Oasis one, it's irrelevant. It's like saying diet coke is better than Champagne. It's totally irrelevant to the big picture. Too bad for you that you've waited 2009 to see Oasis an didn't enjoy the only gig you had a chance to see that much. Then you saw Noel in a small venue and you think it was better than Oasis in a stadium, because you were closer to the scene and you had the feeling that Noel was saying DLBIA just for you. But it's just irrelevant to the big picture, which is that OBVIOUSLY Oasis was one of the best live band ever and HFB is just miles away from it.

HFB gig was waaaaay better than Oasis' weak 2009 gig I saw. ATmosphere, crowd ad performance. Wasn't better than the awesome 2001 (brotherly Love) and 1998 gigs tho, as those were pretty peak Oasis.... truefaith, we all know what your opinion is on this. Save your breath. Go do something productive instead. I guess it was "oustanding"...

Well its purely a matter of opinion isn't it and i can't see why truefaith is trying so hard to change people's view of it. I personally can't see how anyone would think any HFB's gig would be better than an Oasis one, simply for the fact that they are a distinctly average band. But each to there own.

i think truefaith could've saved himself a hell of a lot of time if he had of just typed "i dont like nghfb", instead of all the repetitive rants.

Oasis did plenty of gigs where they may as well as have just put a video of a previous show on a screen and not even bothered turning up.
I've not seen Noel live, but I can't imagine he doesn't beat Brighton 2002 or Nottingham 2006, for instance. But then I also can't see him topping Oasis at their best.
