This afternoon I was made aware of Sydney band Ouroboros' grant to help them record their next album and bring in an ochestra. Seeing as the debut was a honorary mention in my list of 2011, there is a reason there. However, Neil Mitchell thinks only pop music should get grants.
Does it matter to Mitchell and his listeners that as soon as a relatively unknown band requests a grant they should get it? Many artists have brought in orchestras, not just Ouroboros.
In closing, slandering an entire genre because of ONE band makes no sense and probably makes you weak minded and small.
