Questioned on the AA album: " I do not know. In its current form, I am not happy with the recordings. At first I thought we could publish it, but then the other record was so extremely successful and has grown more and more ... I realized that these unreleased recordings in the present form simply can not keep up. So I will have to work a lot on it. But now I'm touring until at least November and have no time. And then it`s Christmas again. Who knows what comes next? Maybe I'm doing something completely new, there are so many songs." www.morgenpost.de/kultur/article106241857/Fuer-Noel-Gallagher-taugt-keine-Band-mehr-etwas.htmlhmhm..seems as if he`s in serious doubts about it. No good word on it. So it seems that when the AA album was done it was all good and ready to go. Then they released HFB album and it was a lot bigger thing than Noel thought at the first place. Now he doesn't want to dissapoint the big crowd with an album that is just alright, he wants it to be great. So he either comes up with a great HFB album with brand new songs or he releases the AA album that is strong enough to keep the flame burning. That's what I think. I think sadly the probleme isn't great/not great. The probleme is more experimental/non experiemental. For the first time in his carreer Noel was going into another direction. He was enjoying himself to do whatever he wanted now that he had the freedom as a solo artist. 2 albums and one experimental. Now HFB had too much success and he's afraid to take the experimental road and to loose HFB public in the process. So he prefers to not take this risk. It's stupid because he should really not care and do whatever he wants. Release the AA, then release HFB2 before Oasis eventually reforms in 2015. ;D

It'll be released, but in a half arsed, no thrills way somewhere down the line, ala Boy With The Blues

Right, its time for me to put this thread to bed.
In June 2011 Noel made the most important quote in this whole saga. He claimed that "for the 1st time since DM, he wasnt working to a time limit"...
Oasis was different. the moment an Oasis album was "ready" it went out. now 3 of the last 4 albums Noel now slates for lacking.. as quickly as Demember 08 he said AGN & HHL were shite on DOYS but they had to fill it. Now this is the thing, if Noel had the time he has now to produce that record DOYS would probably have been completely different and would have been released sometime in 2009.
So this AA album has been sat about in a "readdy state" for nearly a year now. its been announced, its been teased. and Noel has had the time to think about it,
i think its clear that he simply has realised its not what he thought it could be and has the freedom to just scrap it. this happened in 2004 with DBTT and they simply went down another road. Nothing to do with 'bottling it". hes just had time to reflect on the work and feels that its not good enough.
He probably knows nobody wants an album of "the death of you and me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me lets run away to sea sea sea sea sea sea sea sea"

A lot of people seem to know Noel. I mean....really know him, personally, for YEARS.

If you take an hour to listen to any AA album you'll find that not every track consists of one line repeated ad nauseum. Believe it or not they do have the occasional song with verses and even choruses. It's daft to prejudge the entire album as being repetitive based on hearing one track out of potentially 18 that were recorded for it.

Alice in Ultraland is a great album. People should have a listen to that.
That's not the same repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Personally, i want the AA album as much as anyone else, but if he were to scrap it for something that turns out even better (even if we have to wait a bit longer), Id rather have that. Then perhaps some of the AA tracks could then be used as b-sides or miscellaneuos tracks for whatever. Im all for experimentation (im a Zappa fanatic and whatnot ) but id rather have Noel put out another HFB album then an experimental hodgepodge

And what happens with Amorphous Androgynous, your most experimental project that you are going to release this year?
Well, that's not even close to being finish. In fact, I have no idea if it ever will be completed or not. "www.horizonte.cl/2012/05/13/noel-gallagher-la-musica-se-interpone-en-mi-sueno-de-no-hacer-nada/Sorry about the rush translation. I'm not very good in english.

Here's another interesting interview. www.pagina12.com.ar/diario/suplementos/espectaculos/3-25198-2012-05-13.htmlSomeone can translate this part: –Cuando anunció su debut como solista mencionó tener casi preparado un segundo disco en colaboración con el dúo de neo psicodelia Amorphous Androgynous. ¿Piensa publicarlo pronto? He is a little bit more positive in this one, but it was done last week.

^translation:
–When you announced your solo debut you mentioned a collaboration with neo psicodelic duo Amorphous Androgynous. Is is being released soon?
–No, it's not finished. It needs a lot of work to be ready. Perhaps a couple of songs will be released as they're being finished, but it will take a lot of effort and I don't have the time to get into that. I think it will be released at some point, but I'm in no hurry. If I come back to London and I feel I have to get it done, I will. And if not, it won't be the end of the world. They (Amorphous Androgynous) were working on some mixes while I was on tour, but what I heard so far didn't convince me.

I couldn't care less if this sees the light of day.
If it's anything like Shoot a Hole Into the Sun then just release them as b-sides and if there are any good ones maybe release them in some sort of EP.
