for me the line "we see things they'll never see" is perfect, dosnet come better, cus when you have someone speacal you see and hear the things that others dont, u get the privite jokes etc

It's strange with Live Forever. For a long time Cigarettes & Alcohol was seen as the Oasis anthem, and the one that would go down in history. It was the one we all used to talk about, and seemed to be everyone's fav. Now Live Forever has taken that mantle, probably rightly so. I wouldn't call it the best song ever - I don't think it's Oasis' best song, but it certainly is very, very special.

Interesting point there. Champagne Supernova is my favourite song, but probably not the best. Some people say that it gets a bit repetitive or something, but my God - that solo...

this song is soo great. especially when it kicks into the whole "Maybe I will never be" bit. it fuckin hits me EVERYTIME. and how could anyone not like the solo? but yea, it's the most positive message. It's Getting Better Man has one as well....but not quite the same. but what i really enjoy is where Live Forever comes from. Everyone knows their background with their abusive father and all....yet Noel wrote this song in the midst of all that. it doesn't complain or cry....but does the oppositte. which is why i love oasis...out all negativity, they, especially noel, always look at things in an optimistic light. i love it.
