with no job security there is no way i can afford a festival ticket when i have no idea if i will still have a job come the festivals. I think more festivals have to go like latitude and have the option of buying tickets in installments.

The number of festivals increased by such a large amount over the past decade and with a lot of the same bands at many of them it was inevitable that as people had to be more careful with what they spent money on then festivals particularly those that hadn't established themselves would feel the pinch.

many uk festivals are doing fine, but there was a lot of new festivals that sprung up in the last decade with the economic boom and it isn't sustainable now. It also got to the point where the smae bands played at all the festivals.
