The thing is not all Oasis crowds were completely up for it either. I was at the Ricoh Arena gig on the last tour and even near the front there were people that didn't know any songs, apart from those that were on WTSMG. Oasis gigs always attracted a decent number of people that were only there for Wonderwall and quite happy to stand and clap for the rest of the songs.

Usher Hall was great, everybody singing along to every song.
Oasis are finished. Get over it.

I agree about the O2 arena gig,the atmosphere was awful and noone really sang or bounced along. One thing i would say though is that every gig ive been to at the O2 has been the same. It just seems a really, really bad venue.

It just seems a really, really bad venue. It is a bad venue... I'm not quite sure why, but there's just something about it... Maybe because it's round... I don't like round stadiums, either... But that doesn't mean there can't be good gigs there. Some are good, some are bad. Just depends on the crowd on the night. I was Kasabian 3 times there in December... First night, there were patches of the crowd that were good, but mostly poor... The second night was fucking mental. They were all up for it... And NYE was just disgustingly mental. One of the maddest crowds I've ever seen... But then I see Noel there, and it's poor. It's mostly how the crowd are feeling, but I agree, it's not a great venue as it is. I'd much prefer to have a gig at Wembley Arena.

In a perfect world, this thread wouldn't exist because bands wouldn't play in stupid arenas.

There was a strange mix at the O2 Arena gig (as i think has been said) there was a lot of middle class, middle aged people who just stood doing nothing. I went to the Snow Patrol gig there around a month or so ago(girlfriend likes them) and it was exactly the same (very embarassing at times when the Snow Patrol guy was trying to get people to sing and there was a deafening silence). I dont know why, seemed to attract older people who didnt want to get involved.

The Belfast gigs were fantastic and a dream come true, however I was a bit disappointed to find that nobody stood up until Whatever, which I thought was very un-Oasis and un-Rock'n'Roll. One guy did stand up and get really into it but after a few songs was asked to sit down by the 6 people behind him. Some of the floor crowd were definitely rough as dogs though, there were quite a few rucks and a couple of girls managed to form a huge crater in the middle of the crowd ... I guess that's normal for a Gallagher-hosted gig though hahaha. Other than that, the crowd seemed pretty jolly and just up for a great big sing-along. The booing of Mikey Rowe was a good laugh haha.

Saw the chief at both his LA gigs at UCLA, the crowd fucking sucked BOTH nights. I was there the first night, and I thoroughly agree. There also were a lot of spoil sport students. I'm thinking about the San Diego show as well, I'm looking for that magic couch money but the venue looks the same size, if not bigger.

In my experience, the crowd at Usher Hall, Edinburgh, was fucking brilliant! Everyone was jumping and singing from the first chord of It's Good To Be Free! The crowd at the SECC, Glasgow, was the very same. Everyone was getting right into it from the start and everyone was singing! It felt like the Usher Hall gig but on a larger scale. The crowd at the AECC, Aberdeen, was fucking shit. The venue is shit and Aberdeen crowds are clueless. So I guess it just depends on the venue and area. Aberdeen is too North and too cold. The AECC is just a massive hall with shit acoustics and a curtain at each end. i was at aecc gig n found it a good night maybe your hatred towards aberdeen clouding your judgement ? even noel said was good (great singers apparently in aberdeen) best so far for me altho brum gig was like an oasis gig (missed those glasses of beer/piss being thrown lol)
