WTF??? i was flipping through stations and i heard a familiar drum intro....first of all, americans dont know the song exists, second of all, never heard it played in the us, third...why not fucking play lyla? ?

it was actually a big hit here... it got to #2 on the modern rock charts and #1 on the college charts...
i think overall wonderwall(10 weeks at #1 in the u.s. rock charts) and champagne supernova (5 weeks at #1) were bigger hits overall in the u.s, but in some places live forever was bigger than cs... at the end of 1999 my local radio station in md (99.1 whfs) was have a countdown of the 991 best songs of the 90s and live forever actually came in ahead of cs (ww, lf, cs where all came in the top 100... this is actually pretty good since nirvana also only had 3 in the top 100)
today the only old oasis songs i still hear on the radio are those three (they don't even play dlbia, don't go away, supersonic, and dykwim anymore)
