Liam was banned for life from Cathay Pacific Airlines after causing a ruckus while flying from HK to Australia. I believe this was during the Be Here Now tour.
A reporter in Australia questioned him about it and he said something to the effect of:
"I don't give a flying f$#k about Cathay Pacific, cause ya know what kids......I'd rather walk"
While it was a shameful display, it sticks in my mind as the ultimate cocky rockstar quote! He has since regretted much of what he did on that tour and has admitted it was somewhat of a low point in his career.

Just reading them qoutes make me realise just why i love Liam, Noel and Oasis. Yes Oasis - is a religion - and this is the church.  My favourite quote? Hmmm - there are sooo many. One i heard again recentley was Noel and Bonehead doing a lengthy interview for some bird in the US from early 95 time and the interviewer asked them about Tony McCaroll - after a wee bit of banter about him the interviewer said "Well, i have always been worried about drummers in general - i mean people who bash things for a living" Then Bonehead says ''Yeah McCarol even drums in his sleep" To which Noel replied "Out of time obviousley" ;D;D;D Lengthy but funny as fuck. |
