I'm not counting the HC tour, as he was fine then and had a terrific perofrmance of the likes of SCYHO. And I'm not counting Beady Eye as that's not Oasis.
So basically, 2005-2009, what was his best song? Please post.
He had his moments in 2005, and a very very strong gig at Manchester, which was, of course, released.
But, while not even in my top 5, or top 10, or top 20, Oasis songs, he really performed on the iTunes' 2009 gig with Champagne Supernova.
Close your eyes, and listen. This is the only time in the last decade where Liam sounded like he did in 1996.
What's your Liam best of Oasis' last two tours?

I've got a feeling that you may get a couple from the Standing on the Edge of the Noise gig, but I went with Supersonic. One of his better recent performances of the songs. He was brilliant for most the gig, but this was my favorite from this gig. Best power he'd shown in his voice in a long time.
I'd also like to go with live acoustic of I'm Outta Time. The most gentle his voice has sounded since the acoustic version of Up In The Sky from years back.

While we're on the subject of Champagne Supernova and 2009, have a listen to this:

I know that the version from Standing On The Edge Of The Noise is better, but I just wanted to share this for anyone who missed this gig. I think he sounds good on all the songs from that night.
And of course many songs from the rehearsal gig Standing On The Edge Of The Noise.

"More so than Liam destroyed it with his cringe worthy vocals. " "I like Noel's style of playing on his acoustic and at least he can still hit the notes. If there was any period that Supersonic should have been dropped from the setlist, then it was probably with Oasis when Liam ceased to be able sing it ( and I use the loosest definition of "sing") consistently on a night to night version." now you're saying that supersonic is liams best vocal post 2002?!! way to contradict yourself!!!

I think he meant most of the time on DOYS tour Liam wasn't able to pull that off(and his vocal condition has improved a lot during DGSS tour). The video he post was tour rehearsal gig, no surprise Liam sounded brillant on that.

If you notice, I said "consistently using on a night night basis". How is this contradicting myself? I didn't say that he could never sing it again or that he was not able to sing well at least a few times. I said that he was not able to do on a "night to night" basis. Which is amazingly right there in the quote that you quoted. Welp, swing and a miss on your part. Next time you think you find me in a contradiction, don't find a quote that disproves your point. What I said is not different than many people on this forum saying that Liam almost never could never really pull off SCYHO live, except at a couple of gigs. Yet I've seen it posted as one of his best performance. All it takes is one good night, but that doesn't mean that someone can perform it well on a night to night basis. Which was my point with Supersonic. So I stand by my original quote in every single facet. He couldn't perform Supersonic on a night to night basis and many times hos voice was far too ragged to pull it off, but the Standing the Edge of the Noise gig was one of the few times that he pulled it off in that period and it was magical. Is maybe 4-5 nights where the song sounds good, worth it being in a whole tour? That's debatable, but in my opninion it's not.

so you think that an artist can sing a song in the same tour, where the majority of the performances are sooo bad that you feel they cant even sing the song, but on another night they can sing the same song and according to you give their best performance in a decade?? nah. i've heard liams voice being bad on cetain nights and better the next but what you're saying would take a miracle. personally i cant see a major difference between that performance and any other performance of that song from the tour, certainly not to the extent of being "cringeworthy" one night and amazing the next

That was a one off gig. It was in August at the very beginning of the tour and was a rehearsal for the upcoming DOYS tour. Not in a tour where there were successive dates. Well if you can find a better argument than me contradicting myself or the "miracle" argument then pm me. And we'll continue this debate there. But obviously this NL4E's thread and I wish not to derail it.

i dont want to derail it either trying not to repeat the videos that have already been mentioned, in my opinion this video is pretty high up there with liams best vocals since 2002

yeah tweeter center boston, definitely liams best vocal performance from the DBTT Tour.
Alot of people claim that the manchester gig has the best vocals but to me the vocals are mixed so ridiculously low i can hardly decipher if they are actually good or if its just cos of the fact they're barely audiable.

If boston is a good vocal, the best of 05/06
that speaks volume about that period

If boston is a good vocal, the best of 05/06 that speaks volume about that period well compared to this performance its . that was a very bad period for liams voice, definitely the worst its ever been, hopefully.

He was rocking on the latest Beady Eye tour. Probably the best since 1994.

Id actually have to agree with BEUnofficial and say his Beady Eye vocals and the tour as a whole have been the best they have been for years

The Boston gig is one of my faces of oasis, his voice is pretty good for the period imo, I remember watching a couple of bids from the hurricane festival of 05 and he was.......shocking tbh
