there is a thread about this in the Everything about this site section. I have contacted the email service and the image shack guys who have answered me back stating that they never use adware scripts with there services. My norton and adware programs can not detect anything though ? I am contacting the adbanner ppl on the bottom of this site to confirm with them as well. If you have a popup could you send me or post a screen capture , that would help a lot , cheers. live4ever.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=critic&action=display&thread=1119810362

Everytime I go on the download page (at top of page) I get a pop up. Maybe summin on that page? thats the main site, the pop up supports the bill I pay for the hundreds of gigabytes downloaded each month. those are not trojan adware jus popunder ads and not on this forum...cheers

How come its just that page? thats where the freebies are and thats the page that costs a lot to keep going . The popups help cover the bandwith charges

This is what my virus program picks up.
This Trojan downloads and executes various programs from pacimedia.com. Trend Micro detects some of the programs as SPYW_VTBOUNCER.A.
Upon execution it downloads and executes a file also detected as TROJ_DLOADER.OS. It also modifies the registry as part of its installation routine.

I have forwarded all of this info to the ad banner company, as of this afternoon all my affiliate services deny using any adware and have visited the forum to confirm this . Awaiting one more response...thanks

are you all still using Internet Explorer? it has a lot of holes in it. I say just use another browser like firefox with a pop-up blocker built in. Get a firewall as well to save from all this trouble.

guys one way you could help me is by taking a screen capture when this occurs on your pc or scroll down to the bottom of your screen and take a look at what adbanner is showing , make a note of the ad and PM me so I can forward it to the ad company...Everyone so far denies using adware so I'm at a loss at the moment ...

Not a man, im a woman. ;D
Ok if I were you I would check in your temp internet files: c drive documents and settings-
Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
And look for any ps01 or ps011.exe files along with anything from pacimedia. That is what I had.
I would also run another scan. I use trendmicro and they found the trojan quarantined it and was able to fix. I am not sure how to clean the registry though.
I will say the past few days I haven't gotten this again, so maybe it was a fluke??
Let me know how you fair.
