Not yet, though judging by the reviews, it looks great. The Peter Ames Carlin biography was great, so to get his own perspective could only be better. |

Sternumman, have you read the autobiography? I devoured it the last few days, it's probably the most profound and enlightening musical biography I've ever read. Unbelievably great, I never thought my appreciation of the man could go any higher.

People go bat shit crazy for Bruce where I'm from...............New Jersey........................................I like some of his stuff, a great deal of it I don't. Saw him live once. He played for like 4 hours. It was cool but I only knew like 25-30% of the material.

I have the book this is based on (Deliver Me From Nowhere), it only concerns a snapshot in his life that is essentially the making of Nebraska, which this film is reportedly about. Book is great, there's some psychological insight into what motivated him to make the album but nothing so dramatic to make it obvious film material. It's a fascinating book on the creative process behind the album that feels like it owes itself to a documentary, so intrigued how they make it into a narrative spun film. |
