Thanks for recommending, Mrs. Rice ;D I've discovered fantastic bands by listening to NPR radio like The National, Beirut etc, so this band should be good. Gonna have a listen to their session.  |

Just listen to those songs. Their music reminds me early Rolling Stones and I agree eva about the singer. She's got a soulfull voice.

I found them thanks to NPR's SXSW mix. Really fantastic stuff and they're getting so popular too and their debut isn't even out yet! So awesome to see a great band start off with such a bang.

They are really really good. Finally got a chance to listen to them. Debut album is a solid piece of work. I recommend them to anyone who is a fan of Jack White, the black keys, early kings of leon.

I saw their CD for sale today at Starbucks, but couldn't remember where I had seen them before. LOL, the L4E forum! I'm going to check them out after the short-legged ones (aka my kids) go to bed. Since they're getting such rave reviews, and I love Janis Joplin, sounds like they might be worth a listen. Thanks for the tip!

I really like their album, but they have so much energy when they're playing live that it's almost like they're a different band. still... "Boys & Girls" is one of my favourite albums this year.
