Came across this on the popular website 9gag 9gag.com/gag/2165628Old news, of course, but he's right. This particular pic has got over 21 000 likes already, which is quite impressive. Just thought I'd share it =D P.s. Quite ironic that the only albums I posses are from the 2 people who don't give a shit that I bought them ;-)

www.gigwise.com/news/55722/Liam-Gallagher-I-Dont-Mind-Illegal-DownloadingThis is the real quote “Downloading’s the same as what I used to do – I used to tape the charts of the songs I liked [off the radio]. I don’t mind it. “I hate all these big, silly rock stars who moan – at least they’re ****in’ downloading your music, you c*nt, and paying attention, know what I mean?” He added: “You should ****in’ appreciate that – what are you moaning about? “You’ve got ****in’ five big houses, so shut up.”

He's right, but it's less silly rock stars more rich corporate bastards who are whining.

Pardon me for asking, but if someone could remind me what Noel's said on this topic I'd appreciate it.

Pardon me for asking, but if someone could remind me what Noel's said on this topic I'd appreciate it. I guess he has the exact opposite opinion on this topic. "I don't sit in the studio and f**king make it up as I go along, and go, 'this one's free, then.' I think if you just buy it, you as a listener value it more. I'm just not into free downloads, and that's an end of it." stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.com/2011/07/no-free-downloads-from-noel-gallagher.html

I guess he has the exact opposite opinion on this topic. Not exactly, I think he said he wouldn't give albums away for free like Charlatans did via xfm and Radiohead did with the 'pay what you want' gimmick. But on Zane Lowe (19th August 2008; the first DOYS interview) he said he didn't want to sound like Lars Ulrich and that if downloaders were willing to have 'faceless' blank CDs without artwork or if 'the kids don't have money to spend on CDs', that if they could find it on the net they were welcome to it.

Noel talks about it in this interview from 2009 if I remember correct. Can't remember in which part, though.

I think Noel once said that he would do the same, if he had no money.

I think Noel once said that he would do the same, if he had no money. Yes. He said something like that in the interview I posted.

There was another older quote about him not minding different versions of songs people already have, like live recordings. "After all, I am the Beatles bootleg king" or something like that.

I don't have a problem with bootlegs if it's something that's already been released. Different versions of songs that people know is fine by me. I mean, I am the Beatle Bootleg king! I've got so many that I don't even know where to start....

Liam is a fucking hero for saying that. Noel has a slightly different take on it but in the end, he doesn't really fault those who do it(illegal downloading) so that's another reason why they're both awesome in my book .
