Remember when Liam did that advertisement picture with Phillips where he has a huge mouth? Well, I found a video today of him shooting it behind the scenes and there's a bit where he's singing a little snippet Four Letter Word, found it interesting to hear him singing it in that environment rather than shouting over the loud guitars live, he sounds basically identical to the album version. Thought some of you might be interested in seeing it..

He's 100% not miming. I don't know how to get round the 'Not available in your country' problem.

Anyone think it might actually be Liams hearing that's the problem at live gigs? As proven here and by what we hear on the album the man can still really sing but somewhere between those walls of guitars and whatever is up with Liams ear piece something goes wrong... Even in the Maida vale sessions he still sounded off and he was in an isolated room I still think maybe he thinks he sounds better when he shouts.

Anyone think it might actually be Liams hearing that's the problem at live gigs? This theory is ridiculous. Anyone with an ounce of live experience will agree. His vocals have been rubbish for at least 8 years: do you really think he's had problems with his monitors/stage sound for 8 years!? The reason why he sounds good in the studio is because he isn't straining his vocals over a longer period of time as opposed to when he's on tour.

Bit harsh to call his vocals on the Beady Eye tour rubbish. I would say he ranged from excellent to pretty good for most of the tour. Sheffield last year which was right at the end of a tour was the best vocals I have had from him live since the Giants tour in 2000.

He had moments in the DBTT tour, as well... So, he can still pull off a decent vocal. And he was fantastic at Brixton, and that was the last UK date they did.
I think sometimes his poor voice was down to smoking, drinking, etc. and part laziness.

The iTunes gig was poor vocally by Liam but there was one moment of magic, this performance of The Morning Son, up there with the best performances of the 00's for me.
