URGENT !
So I really want to buy a "short parka" from Pretty Green. I have bought collarless mandarin jackets from them and I wear an XL, they're a perfect fit. Are their parkas looser or fitted like the jackets? Should I grab an L or stick with the XL?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Thanks to no one I got my parka in an XL and it fits like a glove, IDK why I thought they might run large, just right and FWIW the delivery was just as fast now than before the buyout so I would definitely order from them again.

Not keen on the Umbro stuff at all but glad to see PG are trying to keep appealing to the market it was originally intended for.

Is Manchester the only place left that still has a pretty green store ? Yes. All others were closed down after the take over by JD Sports. I think the brand is popular enough that one in London and one in Glasgow as what happened originally should have been kept open too.

Man I just bought a PG jacket via Atom Retro since earlier this week PG didn't have my size. It was delivered today and lo and behold PG sends me a 60% off email and they list the same jacket as part of the promo now in stock with my size.
Ain't that a bitch?

Living in Brighton...home of pretty much most things that are Mod...very pissed when this store closed down here. Now end up spending a shed load on delivery and returns of their very odd sized newer items. They hardly seem to carry much of their more staple classic items in the London Carnarby store.

When I ever ordered PG online I always checked other stores like Atom Retro and Masdings as they usually had a discount code which eliminated the postage as it frustrated the life out of me that it would take PG so long to deliver, was something like 6 days for standard delivery for £6 at one point... The sizing was a major issue. I can kind buying three T-shirt’s all XL and one fit like a large, one like an XL and the third like an XXL... Some of the new stuff looks more than decent but until I see better reviews again it’s not a brand I’ll be buying much off any time soon.

Is Pretty Green going to be around in another 2-3 years?

Is Pretty Green going to be around in another 2-3 years? Doubtful. There’s a reason why Liam stopped wearing it.

Is Pretty Green going to be around in another 2-3 years? Yes, but it'll be a pretty generic brand. It might even get sold on in future. I could imagine a day when it's once of those that you see in Sports Direct that bears no relation to its roots.

I know it’s not the main reason but it was part of the equation. At some stage Liam was going to want something that was his. Oasis was Noel's. If it wasn't Pretty Green it would've been something else.

I don’t think that PG was one of the reasons why their relationships/Oasis fell apart . I mean... why? they could argue w each other for days about anything as they both admitted. PG, tabloid reporters, weather, whatever. It wasn’t the root of the problem.

I only referenced it because Noel said 10 years ago that Liam wanted to put ads in their tour program for free and Noel thought it was bullshit to hawk outside products to the fans. He said Liam could pay for the ads to be there. It definitely created tension and more fights than normal. Let’s put it this way, it didn’t help matters. Noel’s tour diary from 2008-2009 was shocking at all the drama going on behind the scenes.

It’s a trivial thing, not even big (for Noel) money. If they didn’t have a hostile relationship they could easily come to terms about it. It didn’t change much. Just another subject of their arguments. W or w/o PG it wouldn’t end well.

It already is and has been for a while www.sportsdirect.com/pretty-greenTechnically it's stocked in USC not Sports Direct, but both are Mike Ashley owned. USC is attached to the back of my local Sports Direct but both share the same tills and there is nothing to separate the two so you're literally walking amongst the Donnay socks and Dunlop safety shoes then see Pretty Green stocked next to them.

I'm from the US so is Sports Direct like a Walmart kinda retailer? It's all clothing, mostly sports, but it's mainly stack it high, sell it cheap. Part of their business model is buying up (Slazenger, Lonsdale) or licensing (Pierre Cardin) name brands and turning them into cheap low quality house brands. I don't know why but I have a nasty feeling this will one day be Pretty Green.

I've been nothing but happy with the parka and jackets I've bought from PG and people say that the quality from years ago was even better, shame I missed that boat!
