Fred Perry > Pretty Green Fred Perry's polo shirts knock Pretty Green's out the park. And yet, on the other hand, PG's coats knock FP's out the park. So it's a tough one to call. Or it would be, if it weren't for... Agreed Fred Perry polo's are unbeatable Fred Perry's female line is also pretty good but the rest of male attire is shit tbh

You never really see Liam wearing pg anymore or even modelling it. I wonder if he will ever come back to advertise for the brand again. Every time he wears a pg coat it sells out super fast.

My next purchase too, although I notice it's out of stock apart from XS already despite only going onto the website yesterday! Must be a popular piece. Unfortunately I haven't been an XS since I was about 12

Unfortunately I haven't been an XS since I was about 12 Aye same here! I've noticed quite a bit of the new range is coming in a slim fit cut... I'm not a fat arse or anything but I'm not a fan of more fitting clothes! Will definitely have to try the newer stuff on before buying. The guys that work in the Glasgow PG stores are brand new though so I don't mind going into the shop and having a look around. I agree that Fred Perry polos are better than the Pretty Green ones but the rest of their range, jumpers and tees for example don't match up to PG and Theyknowwhatimean is spot on about the desert boots, they are fantastic. I've got a pair of the original Clarks collaboration and a pair of the current ones and I must say the current ones are my favourite. If they come out in navy again I'll be picking them up for sure.

Agreed Fred Perry polo's are unbeatable Fred Perry's female line is also pretty good but the rest of male attire is shit tbh That is true actually, their female line is good. I've seen a lot of girls around my age, kind of late-teen age, sporting a lot of Fred Perry. I remember when Liam used to do those videos where he'd answer questions left on the PG website, and a a lot of them seemed to be about starting a women's line. Obviously, it never happened, but I think they really missed a trick there. I wouldn't call it a counter culture exactly, but I think there is a growing number of teenagers getting into guitar music these days, primarily as a retaliation to the mainstream music industry being as it is and, although admittedly I am generalising a fair bit here, I think girls tend to want to show off what kind of music they're into perhaps more than lads. Sure, for a lot of girls, their entry into the world of guitars and real people is probably through watered-down shite like Catfish and the Bottlemen, who kind of breech the gap between manufactured nonsense and indie rock, but it's never long before they discover bands like Oasis, who mean a hell of a lot more both for their music and the culture that surrounded them. Even now, being an Oasis fan means something. It's a badge of honour that you wear (providing you haven't listened to Heathen Chemistry recently), hence why I've seen so many girls walking about in shitty Oasis tees. I have no doubt if Pretty Green really went for it and designed some quality womenswear, there'd be a market there to fill. Could even plaster Liam's face on it because (and this really is generalising - probably too much really) "Liam Gallagher in 94 tho - perf! *loveheart emoticon*" seems to be a draw for some girls just becoming fans.

I did indeed, even managed to model it live on Sky Sports when the camera panned over me in the crowd at the Hearts Aberdeen game haha.

There's one in Nottingham this week but cant get there til thursday and probably only have tat left as starts tomorrow Bits of everything from previous campaigns, all seasons a real mix of stuff just on racks labelled by size a lot of sifting to be done. Definitely worth having a look though mate, the lads at the London one said they were getting new stuff in everyday so there still might be some pieces worth buying.

There was an outlet store in Livingston but that's closed down unfortunately so no place in Scotland to see any of the samples right now.

Guess they just rented them for a week etc.. So you may be lucky?

Last time it was here they used the downstairs of the Ingram Street store but that is due to be closed soon and a new refurbished shop opening elsewhere in Glasgow city centre so if it does return you are probably right, a pop up shop most likely. Hopefully some XL sizes will be available should it happen!

Its weird it like they must be doing a size a day or something (unlikely) or they just got LOADS of M to shift.. fingers crossed it appears with decent sizes .
