''I would like to thank NME for bestowing upon me such a great accolade. I have dreamt of this moment since I was 43 years old. I accept that I am now a genius, just like God.''

Goodone Noel. Well deserved, his past work really has inspired a generation. Has been a longtime coming. Can't believe Dave Grohl won last year, barf. Congrats Noel!!!

Would be funny if Liam presented the award to him. It would actually be perfect. A good way to bury all this brotherly hate they've got going. If this were to be televised, there would be some very HIGH ratings.

If this were to be televised, there would be some very HIGH ratings. They should actually try it... Maybe they can perform LTBL together after I ranted on the page at the haters: "Tell you what, all of you that disagree are either; a Coldplay fan, a Radiohead fan, inbred, locked away from the rest of the world until the moment it was announced, or a total wanker. Noel is one of the biggest contributors to music ever. He's up there with the likes of The Beatles and The Jam. Oasis were a phenomenon, and we won't be seeing another band do something similar for a while. A lot of you might not even live long enough to see it (Probably due to being born with a life-damaging illness from being inbred), because something like Oasis doesn't happen every day of the week. NME made the right decision. Nobody else deserved this award more. Now, everyone, get on your knees and pray, Noely is on the way. Live Forever."

As far as I know it's just the typical Onstanding Acheivement award.
A career award.

Mature response.....Oh and I don't see how being a Radiohead fan is an insult as they are an incredible band.....
