It will never see the light of day. you know, as crazy as that sounds i wouldn't totally rule that out. in the back of my mind i have been wondering if this aa album will go the way of the death in vegas sessions. as was with d.i.v.--- noel really wants to go off in a whole new direction, but perhaps he's afraid to pull the trigger on it.

I understand the logic, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating being a fan knowing there's an album sitting there fully complete, like a citrus and honey aural cocktail waiting to be trickled slowly into my ears... And because Noel is one almighty lazy git it'll give him an excuse to have more time off before album 3. I wish he'd released a double album or put the AA disc out on a ltd edition version as the bonus material. I'm kind of liking this idea of this AA album being separately and a bit later than originally planned because it'll be a nice bridge between albums. Something that can just be out there to enjoy while Noel has a bit of time out. And then by the time we are getting bored he's ready to go again hopefully. I definitely like it better than getting 20-some tracks at once and then nothing for 2-3 years And an extra 14 tracks on the ltd. edition of a 10 track album is just a little bit insane. To me, at the moment, I cant help but view it kinda like how Ram was almost a bridge between McCartney and Wild Life

The DIV sessions were abandoned at a very early stage. The AA album is finished, we've heard a complete song and several other snippets and he's still talking about it in interviews, so I don't think it'll be canned. Plus it was Liam that got DIV in, not Noel...

30.01.12 'DREAM ON' CONFIRMED AS NEW SINGLE
"Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release new single 'Dream On' on March 12th through Sour Mash Records. The B-side will be 'Shoot A Hole Into The Sun', the first track to be released from the sessions Noel has recorded with the Amorphous Androgynous.
The single will be available to buy on 7", CD and download. The digital download will also be available as a bundle including the video, which both Noel and Director Mike Bruce consider the best and most fun yet they have ever worked on filming together.
'Dream On' is taken from the eponymous debut album released last Autumn which has already sold over 550,000 copies to date, earning the singer songwriter a BRIT award nomination for Best British Male this year. Noel has also been announced as the winner of NME’s prestigious Godlike Genius Award for 2012. Also Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are in the running for XFM's New Music Award to find the best new British Artists of 2011. For more details, head on over to XFM's website, HERE!"
My faith has been restored.

Plus it was Liam that got DIV in, not Noel...[ I remember an itw where Noel said it was his idea but he used Liam to get them in since Liam knew them, and made Liam believe that it was his idea in the first place. In reality, it might have been both their idea, I really hope some session will leak eventually, I was so happy when they announced they were working with them in 2004 and so disapointed when they stopped. But DBTT was a great album anyway. As for the AA album, I don't have any expectation at all. So wait and see, but it'll be boring to have to wait that long to get an album Noel had promised for the summer.

Disappointed it didn't work out but I guess Noel was right. He kept saying they didn't have the "right songs" for the project and many were "turds". Oh well. Hopefully one day something comes out from it. Noel did say in 2007 he thought they might see the light of day if Oasis ever releases an anthology style album (I know Jeff Slate said no but I think eventually yes. Every artist does over time).

Now one of the songs "from the AA sessions" is officially getting released do people still believe he'll release the album in Oct or even 2013?
Oct would be 9 months after this song is released... doesn't feel right to me!

Oct would be 9 months after this song is released... doesn't feel right to me! I have no idea why it would be released in 2013. HFB would have do amazing things to warrant pushing the album back a full year. Rhianna managed to release 2 albums within a year...no idea why Noel would need to put it back that much unless he turns into an Adele...LOL He'll already have 4 singles of HFB by March. Even if there was a 5th single (which I would doubt...but for arguements sake who knows) that would probably be it early June @ the latest. 3 months after the 4th single. I think we'll start getting AA singles between June and September which would mean an album by the end of the year. I think October is fairly reasonable. I doubt that the alternate versions of the HFB tracks are really gonna be the draw for the next album. And we've already heard it for the past 4 months so it's hardly a big deal that they are giving it as a b-side

i have the impression that lady gaga, katy perry and rihanna bring out like 5 albums a year. so it would be a shame if noel wouldn't do it

The album is that good that Freaky Teeth is actually just filler.
The radio edit of the 23 minute Record Machine Part 3 (space monkey takes a yellow pill and floats around the moon mix) is actually the killer first single.
