I understand what you mean.
Actually I find more surprising the fact that they STILL try to come up with great songs after they had delivered so many great songs. Because I bet they don't have that buzzy feeling they had when thay released those early classics

noels said that b4 in interviews, when he was writing the tunes in the early days for the 1st 2 albums, cos he was skint & in the situation he was in at the time those tunes came out his head,he should go bankrupt or become homeless & c if he can write like that again,as good as he still is,the early days tunes cant b beaten,The masterplan album shows that, its better than any album rleased by any other band imo!

He doesn't have to be miserable, actually his lyircs and music mood are darker now than back then when he lived in the dole. And about the quality, well, I'm still in awe really (TIOBI), impossible to keep the same level through your entire career, sooner or later you run out of ideas (or music to ripp off ;D ). Well , the point is He's still fucking great and at his worst He's well above average.

the importance of being idle is one of my fav tunes of all time.i can totally relate too it lol cos im idle all the time,i didnt mean he had to b miserable to write tunes, hes still the bset songwriter of my generation easy & prob the next load of generations, just meant that those tunes had a raw feeling to them & they surfaced just at the right time where every1 could relate to them, thats why the first 2 oasis albums r soooo good

the importance of being idle is one of my fav tunes of all time only time will tell with these new tunes, but imo they won't have near the longevity that tracks off DM & WTSMG have, how could they?!

if any band can match those 2 albums then i`ll take my hat off to them, cant c it happening though, the 1st 2 album had a combination of amazing tunes + the way thing were at the time in the music scene or even the way the country was at the time, oasis appeared and changed everything,i cant c any new band haveing that kind of impact
