So what are the chances that Noel gets nominated at the Brit Awards?
Nominess are announeced on January 12th and I I actually think that the chances are very high. I think he may be nominated for Best Male Artist and possibly British Album. Maybe Best Breakthrough Artist (I don't know if he would qualify or not)

I think he's got good chance of getting a nomination. Pretty low chance of winning anything.
Best chance probably being Best British Male. Just a nomination in the album category would be amazing...even though Adele will win.

Paul Weller won one year... (but didn't show up).

It was rumored a few weeks ago that the Brit were trying to line Noel up for a live appearance.

His mantelpiece must look pretty awesome :-) Didn't he say once that he doesn't like to display award and album certifications. I think he said that most of them are in storage somewhere or have been given away.

it's not like it's a grammy but it would be cool to at least see him perform live at the awards ceremony. DOubt he'd turn up unless he knew he was going to win. Unless that was an Oasis thing only.

Just looked at his tour and the day for the Brit Award and Noel is cleared up for it. The awards are on the 21st and he currently has nothing scheduled for that day of the tour, and he'll still be in the UK.

He'd rather win a Brit than a grammy, nobody over here really cares about either but would chose the brits over the grammys IMO

nobody in the history of the music industry could tell you they'd honestly rather win a Brit than a Grammy.... not with a straight face anyways.
It's not for nothing that the Grammy is the most prestigious music award in the world. The Brits... well, they may be the most prestigious in Britain. When artists are introduced they never say "Brit Award winner" do they?

Grammys may be a joke, but it's a worldwide joke, like the oscars. So I guess it's good promotion to win one

Even if he does get nominated there is still no chance of him winning... You can bet all the fucking little kids will be voting for the crap that comes out of x factor.

The Grammys are also amazingly American bias with the main awards, unless you're U2 you can kiss your chances of winning best Album goodbye if you're not from Canada/USA.

No one gives a flying fuck about a grammy this side of the pond mate.
The Brits aint been good since the mid/late 90's anyway.
Brits 96 was 1 of the best pieces of telly i've ever saw, Oasis, Cocker etc
