Has anyone got the full version of one of "noels 80 demos" called "but what if" it sounds like here comes the sun but i love the chorus and would really appreciate it if someone could send it me somehow. I have an 8 second clip that i've fallen in love with but i can't get the rest! i'd also love some other demos that noel has done. I have a few cool tracks i could share in exchange for some of this stuff.

No. There are only two short clips (roughly 30 seconds) of two late 80;s songs. One called 'But What If...' and the other called 'Have Fun'.

How were the clips released? I doubt noel released 30 second clips of songs he wrote in the 80's online. Somebody must have them. Are they part of that demo that got auctioned off years ago?

I agree, someone out there is being greedy and needs to share the whole demo with us.

The tapes were written and recorded by Noel in the late 80's. The clip of Have Fun came from a television programme which had a feature on the sale of the tape at auction and broadcast a short clip of one of the songs. The clips of But What If... came from the seller uploading a clip to alt.music.oasis whilst advertising a sale of another tape.

As for getting full songs, very, very doubtful. There are only a handful of copies of those tapes in existence, valued at thousands of pounds apiece. Not something you average person would put on the Internet. If I'd have paid 4 grand for a tape, I don't think I'd put it onto the Internet, although I might be persuaded to upload 1, maybe 2 full songs.

Also, if anybody has got a bit of money and fancies buying something like this, here is a link to a 2-track demo tape of Take Me, with 2 different mixes of the song. You need to have over a grand handy though...
