Downloaded Uptight (Everything's Alright) by Stevie Wonder a few days ago just to see how much Noel ripped it off in Step Out...
hahaha ;D
Absolutely shameless - I found myself singing Step Out while listening to it as the melody has just been lifted!
What a musical magpie Mr N Gallagher is!
What other shameless examples of musical 'borrowings' do we have from Noel?

the nicked riff from t rex... Yeah i played Cigarettes and Alcohol live and it threw everyone when i started singing it... tough crowd before i start i'm not saying i agree with ANY of this but it has been alledged that- Don't Look Back In Anger's intro is the same as Imagine by Lennon (however there is an extra chord difference) Live Forever has the same chord pregression as Wonderful Tonight by Clapton (yet again, one chord extra difference) Apparently the solo from Supersonic was ripped off from My Sweet Lord by George Harrison (Harrison sued him for it) Shakermaker stole the melody and originally one verse from 'I'd like to teach the world to sing', Coca-Cola sued Noel for that Noel ripped himself off with D'You Know What I Mean? (it is almost exactly the same as Wonderwall) Married with Children sounds ever so slightly like Lithium by Nirvana (chord progression) let me also add that Noel has been asked if he wants to sue many bands over the years and that Travis ripped off Wonderwall with 'Writing to Reach you' and Green Day did with 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' -modified- Part of the Queue also has the same chord progression as 'Once Around the Block' by Badly Drawn Boy

A quick list, though not exhaustive:
Definitely Maybe Era
Shakermaker - I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing
Cigs & Alcohol intro - TRex
Whatever - some Neil Innes song (not sure which one, but he threatened to take 14% album rights, hence why it never got put on an album in most countries)
(Whats The Story) Morning Glory? Era
Hello - They took an excerpt from Gary Glitters "Hello Hello I'm Back Again" - never heard the Gary Glitter song myself tho
Dont Look Back In Anger - Imagine piano intro
Round Are Way - the Intro of Got To Get You Into My Life (The Beatles)
Step Out - Stevie Wonder Uptight (you're right NBA, it's a carbon copy!)
Be Here Now era
D'You Know What I Mean - same chord sequence as Wonderwall, although (obviously) they sound nothing alike
Be Here Now - the end "Come On Come On Yeah Yeah Yeah" taken from Columbia
All Around The World (Reprisal) - while not a steal as such, the concept was very similar to that of the latter half of the album Yellow Submarine
Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants
Fuckin' In The Bushes - very similar to The Knock On Effect by UNKLE, altho Noel did feature on that song, so kinda stealing off himself again
Who Feels Love - steal from Dear Prudence
Put Yer Money Where Your Mouth Is - melody a blatant steal from The Doors "Roadhouse Blues"
Heathen Chemistry Era
Hindu Times - guitar lick from Sterophonics Same Size Feet... the guitar lick is also in ABBA's Does Your Mother Know - it's frightening to listen to
Hung In A Bad Place - Oasis's very own "I Got The Fever"
Don't Believe The Truth Era
Mucky Fingers - Velvet Underground "I'm Waiting For The Man"
Lyla - Opening line of verse similar to Street Fighting Man by The Rolling Stones
Guess God Thinks I'm Able - melody is a slowed down version of I Wanna Be Your Man by The Beatles
Part of The Queue - guitar very similar to The Stranglers' "Golden Brown" and pretty much anything written by Badly Drawn Boy
A Bell Will Ring - drum loop from Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles
Pass Me Down The Wine - guitars on intro very similar to George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" and also The Corrs song (feat Bono) "Summerwine"
Eyeball Tickler - That Guitar lick that Jet used, but they nicked it from Iggy Pop

The guitar riff from Morning Glory (before the chorus) is pretty much the same as the one from ''One I Love'' by REM
