Oasisnews is reporting a rumor that Noel and Beady Eye will play support for the Stone Roses on their upcoming reunion in Manchester in June. There are suppose to be supporting on different days so it seems as if they will not be playing the same stage on the same day, but rather their own stage on one of the three days that the Stone Roses will be playing. oasisnews.com.br/?p=634

We all know how much Noel and Liam love them, and if they don't meet on stage, why not? How trustworthy is oasisnews though?

yeah i read this. it's a shame(and at the same time, perhaps a blessing?) that they wont be playing the same night but whatever... i mean who would follow who? It will still be interesting to see how each act is received. Obviously i am anticipating various level of success with the crowd. Plus the sort of variable this time is that Beady Eye will be playing a couple of Oasis tunes. On the other hand, maybe Noels setlist will no longer be made up of 50% Oasis tunes since he'll be releasing new material off his new album? who knows....

I believe Noel will be playing the same amount of Oasis songs. I think he said in an interview a couple of weeks ago that because of the success of HFB that he might have to push back the AA album to about October. So I would expect Noel to have nearly the same set. The Oasis songs might change, but they will be in the set.

Nah Noel's version of Supersonic is great. Wonderwall i wouldn't mind being dropped.

I doubt you'll hear Step Out or WDIAGW if he's only supporting. Should be interesting to see what tunes Beady Eye plays if they do support.

One of the few times I agree with you. But I doubt WDIAGW or SMC would ever appear on setlist...

He's in America isn't he? I thought he stated this a few times.

Beady Eye confirmed, unsurprisingly, along with Primal Scream and Plan B.

Toms right. Noel denied being involved in the Heaton Park gigs weeks ago because he'd be in the US. Great for BDI though. What an amazing experience it'll be for them! One good thing about Oasis splitting is now it isn't weird for Liam to be an opener for a gig like this. Silver lining and all that. Think they'll be breaking out the Oasis tunes for this gig?

Is Noel ever going to announce those concert dates for late June in America? As of now, nothing is in the books. I really hope he comes back to New York.

I'm worried there isn't a big enough window in his touring schedule to do more than a couple of dates, which makes me think it'll just be a festival or two.

He says he'll be in the US, but he's wrong. He plays Dublin on June 26th, Oslo on June 29th, and Belgium on July 1st. Either way, we know he won't be playing Heaton Park now. I'm pretty excited to see both Primal Scream and Beady Eye, though!

Could happen some surprise, would be nice, and certainly will be the Oasis songs at Beady Eye's gig.

Let's hope they each throw a Stone Roses song into their setlist.
