so a few outstanding questions which I'm not sure if I missed the answers to somewhere... did any info about the 'release' of "alone on a rope" ever come to light? was it a mistake by amazon, some clever(ish) marketing ploy or something else? Has Noel ever mentioned it/been asked about it in an interview? are all the non-album tracks ('rope', 'lord shine a light', 'i'd pick you', 'rebel' and 'simple game') taken from the pre-sardy sessions? what happened to the guitarist that was originally said to be part of HFB (the sand band was it?) Is there any news of the UNKLE remixes having a release? that's it for now, I'm sure others will have more. answers on a postcard please  |

I have a question as well, it's probably a stupid one though. Is Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds the name of the album and the name of the band or do the band exist as such, are they just a touring band for Noel. If he does another record after the AA one will it be Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds-...(insert album title) or will it be Noel Gallagher-..( insert new album title).
Or am I making no sense at all here???

I'm fairly certain we'll get Alone On The Rope as the b-side to the fourth single. Which by the way, I have an inkling will be a brand new track.

Like a stand-alone? Noel mentioned in his blog that he was amazed there were going to be 4 singles off this album. We might get a stand-alone down the road. But I doubt it'll happen before the AA album drops. The minute that HFB winds down they'll have to get working on promoting the AA album. |
