Going to see the great man in February but not really impressed with the set list, particularly the Oasis songs. My only qualm with the HFB section is no A Simple Game of Genius and I'd drop WAL that's a personal thing, I think most people seem to love it, can't see why.
As for the Oasis side of things, never a big fan of Mucky Fingers and I think even the casual fan is pretty tired of Wonderwall (could be wrong). Wish he didn't have this dislike of Be Here Now because I think the Girl in the Dirty Shirt and the medley of Setting Sun/Fade In-Out would fit in perfect.
Especially Setting Sun/Fade In-Out, it would bring emotion to the gig from Noel, which is lacking from what I've seen. The Budokan video is one of my all-time favourites. I like the band but just get Noel on guitar and maybe the big lad on the (congas, not sure?) and that's all we need.
The performances seem a bit too polished. Liam brought edginess to it. I don't what it is but I think Noel needs to forget the water before and during the gigs and have a few pints before and during the gig, let his emotions carry him more.

The Setting Sun/Fade In-Out medley is and was definitely awesome. A highlight of the Be Here Now tour. Sadly it wasn't performed when I saw them at Hammerstein Ballroom in 1997. Oh well.

Can't believe none of those live SETTING SUN / FADE IN-OUT performances ever got an official release. Just magic.

Can't believe none of those live SETTING SUN / FADE IN-OUT performances ever got an official release. Just magic. This song(s) is one of the few songs, I could listen to for longer than ten minutes,it's hypnotic. It should actually be longer. As Noel would say "it's not fuckin long enough".

I would love to hear this when I see him in March. It really could go on for hours and I wouldn't mind. Although the more obvious choices for him to play would be The Masterplan, Live Forever and maybe Listen Up (love his acoustic/unplugge versions).

I don't think he should play Live Forever, still a Liam song for me. The Masterplan would be great, I like Falling down as well.

How had I missed out on seeing that video before?! I love Fade In-Out sung by either Liam or Noel...it would be interesting to see Noel sing it now, though. His voice sounds better but isn't as powerful as it was back then. I'd love to see him play a full band Setting Sun as well. Unfortunately, both seem to be pipe dreams at this point. The best we can hope for is probably Listen Up/Slide Away or Falling Down later on in the tour. Maybe Waiting For The Rapture...he seems to love that one also.
