Alan was OASIS DRUMMER. He will always be Oasis drummer and regardless all this shit in the press by Noel, by the press and other fuckers, he is great drummer, great performer. I've watched "Better Man" performance. Timing, intensive, spiritual performance. Drum loops? Yeah, but that wasn't drum machine on this great song - it was Alan White and he did great job. As I said, he was perfectly fit for the sound... And he did fucking great job. He is the Oasis drummer and he will always be Oasis drummer. He was on the drumming stool for a decade and did fantastic job for this band. I can't remember a Oasis song with bad White performance.
Zak is great drummer, no doubt, but in my opinion he isn't so good for this band. See the point? McCarol was kicked and White did great job on Morning Glory. Now Alan leaves - Zak is in the band. No, guys I'm not comparing Morning Glory and the Trurh. They are incomparable. Great records, both. For me however, Alan did greater job in Morning Glory, than Zak - in the Truth. And as myself I'm doing drumming courses extensively, I think that Alan is better, more accomplished and more suitable performer for this band. And he was in the band for decade, he knows them better musically than Zak. Zak is great drummer, no doubt, but he just isn't for this band, whatever everybody is saying. He did not and does not fit the sound, does not fit the spirit and the look of the band so well as Alan did.
And the shit about pressure? Yeah, there is pressure on Zak. But there was pressure on White as well. So pressure is something utterly stupid as an argument. The other shit about time - "give him some time to acclimatize, he'll do it." - there is no time guys. NO FUCKING TIME. Either you fit, or you do not. No middle ways of shite statements - like time and pressure. Alan White fitted and did his job great. As you all know the story, he had to learn DM in a day. Zak did not fit and he is doing fair rather than great job.
So, I'm on bringing back White, which is something as probable as Godzilla taking the USA... But this is life - I just hope that the band will change their minds and will reconcile with White, because they've lost very important component to their sound - the rhythm secton of the band as perfect as it was on Oasis record for me is inadequate. And regardless all the shit, Noel is saying about cats, dogs and fuck-ups as "it's not like Macca leaving Beatles", Alan is for this band and deserve to take his place back again.

Whitey is exellent drummer, but Starkey is not bad too. Just listen to his performance in Part of a queue. But Alan is better. erm... percussion by Lenny Castro??
