i doubt that beady eye was a better gig than richard thompson.
no laura marling, gillian welch and i havent seen her on this current tour but PJ Harvey is amazing live and has one of the finest albums of the year so i would imagine she should be high on your list.

Pendragon, Birkenhead
The whole pigeon holing of non indie/Oasis related music as shit on this forum amazes me. Open your minds people!

I haven't been to many concerts this year. I saw Muse+U2 and Beady Eye + The Strokes (and others) at Personal Fest. out of those Muse was the best one, it was only 5-6 songs.
HOWEVER, the one that I enjoyed the most was Laura Marling at this small place called Samsung Studio.

The Essential Listening Lists which Live4ever publish yearly are not meant to be a top 25 count down but rather a bunch of music we found inspiring enough to hopefully start great discussions and idea exchanges among readers. Thanks everyone !

You're never going to get any of us to like metal no matter how hard you try. (Here's where you say those bands aren't metal, but rather Post-grunge Aussie Hardcore or some shit. :-))

The La's Stripped Back - Bitterzoet, August So jealous of this one! For me it'd probably be: Noel, Usher Hall, Edinbugh Beady Eye, Barrowlands, Glasgow Arctic Monkeys, AECC, Aberdeen Although I'm hopefully seeing Proud Mary and Kasabian within the next 5 days, with Miles Kane supporting Kasabian

This RnR Star board is one of the best things we have on L4E. I don't think any other music/fans forums have the people with great taste in music we have on here.
It's been a great music year for me this year again and hopefully to find more good music next year again. My next gigs in 2012 are:
Echo and the Bunnymen Kasabian
and with no doubt more to come.

Gotta add Ryan Adams to my list. Two hours, around 25 tunes; an all around amazing performance.
