I know this topic was beaten to death when the album was released
but i had really thought that he was gonna sing it acoustically someday
and frankly i dont think he ever will..
i still stand by my opinion that the soundcheck version is truly incredible.
especially the chorus is truly amazing; it feels genuine, and even life-reassuring when he sings 'hanging in there love'
granted, it is not as epic as the studio version and the vocal delivery of the soundcheck version wouldnt have fitted the studio version.
thus, i was looking forward to hear his acoustic version of the song.
i love the studio version and in some sense, i feel it was in the right direction as well.
but i cant help feeling that the song lacks some personal feelings to it, if that ever makes sense..
i really wish he sings it with just him and a guitar someday..
im telling you right now. if he does it would sound fucking mega

I never thought the soundcheck version was particularly special. So I think that Noel definitely went the perfect route for the album version and the current live version because I love them
But I love hearing acoustic versions of all Noel's tunes and it'd be nice to get acoustic versions of a few non-single tracks.

The album version was truly fantastic live. for sure, yeah ! i don't think he should do to many acoustic songs, gets a bit boring now and then. and i don't think the acoustic version of EOTR is so good. IIHAG isn't as good as acoustic as the album version, too.

My crystal ball tells me at some point in the future Noel will put out a live acoustic album as a stopgap between studio albums. And EOTR will be on there.

He hasn't done any radio sessions in ages though, hope he does some more he did far more than this in the BHN era, and played a far wider range of songs; we've only heard 3 new ones acoustically

I hope he'll do more on the bigger tour next year.
He hasn't done the Live Lounge. I know that that is Radio 1 which he hasn't been having a lot of luck with or AirPlay...but they've had him on as an interview at least once and they premiered TGR so it's not like he's been totaly shut out. I hope he gets in there around the time of the arena shows.

And EOTR will be on there. i certainly do hope so.. but as someone has pointed out, noel only plays certain songs acoustically, e.g, IIHAG, AKA WAL, TDOYAM, supersonic, wonderwall, etc.. and he once said that he would never play Stop the Clocks live as he thinks he cannot replicate the studio version live. he plays EOTR live because it is soooooooo mega even though the studio version certainly sounds a lot fuller. he may play it someday but i think it will not be in the foreseeable future.

The sooner the better with playing EBOR acoustically. I'd love to hear it performed during a radio interview.

I would love to hear an acoustic performance, but I wonder if Noel will avoid doing it because he doesn't think it will do the song justice, as with Falling Down. He may play it if it ends up being a single, though.

The soundcheck version of EOTR was good but they definitely went the right route with the album version. I'm really hoping to hear more album tracks done live acoustic, like Broken Arrow, Dream On, SBAJF, I'd Pick You Everytime. EvenThe Good Rebel may sound good acoustically.

I think the REAL question is if Liam would ever sing EOTR if Oasis re-united. That song would be legendary with Liam's vocal treatment.

I'm still waiting for Noel to perform 'My Big Mouth' acoustically like he stated he should have done in Forever The People book back in 1997. That would have been interesting to hear. Hopefully EBOR will be performed acoustically soon along with Broken Arrow and Dream On.
