Playing in the city with the largest concentration of Scientologists anywhere in the world, Gallagher made the dig before 'Bring The Light'.
Gallagher asked the crowd: "Do we have any Scientologists in the house tonight?" Following cheers, the former Oasis frontman said: "Some? Well this for them weirdos."
In a green parka jacket and paisley scarf, Gallagher dedicated a number of other songs throughout the evening, saying 'Man of Misery' was for the fan "wearing Pretty Green down the front", referring to his own clothing line. He also said the band's final song, their cover of World of Twist’s 1991 single 'Sons of the Stage' was "for the Manchester posse".
While playing their last track, Gallagher addressed a heckler in the audience, saying "it’s not a good look telling someone to fuck off when they look like Mr Bean," before going down into the photo pit and shaking hands with fans.
Liam Gallagher recently confirmed that Beady Eye will definitely be playing Oasis songs during their live shows next year. The move follows his brother Noel's decision to play tracks by their former band on his solo tour. He told LA Weekly: It takes balls to go onstage and not play Oasis songs. I don't miss those songs yet, but we're definitely going to play them on the next tour. Beady Eye continue their North American tour with a show tomorrow (December 5) at Minneapolis First Avenue and they head to New York's Terminal 5 on December 9.
Beady Eye played:
'Yellow Tail' 'Four Letter Word' 'Beatles and Stones' 'Millionaire' 'Two of a Kind' 'For Anyone' 'Three Ring Circus' 'The Roller' 'In the Bubble With a Bullet' 'Bring the Light' 'Standing on the Edge of the Noise' 'Kill for a Dream' 'The Beat Goes On' 'Man of Misery' 'The Morning Son' 'Wigwam' 'World Outside My Room' 'Sons of the Stage'
to add my two cents. Being from LA, I love my city, however LA crowds can be sooo fuckin finicky, however that wasn't the case last night. I was front row center in the pit. As the band came out, fist went up in the air along with a hundreds of pints. The crowd were definitely into it. it was rocking. Liam was in very good spirits, pacing the stage back and forth, chatting up fans down the front, a few million yard stares that he's trademarked. For it being a mostly older crowd there were also quite a few young un's in there and we were loving it. ppl singing back lyrics, quite a few loud chants of "LIAM LIAM LIAM" a very well dressed crowd I might add, not too many Liam clones surprisingly. Liam dedicated Man of Misery to a friend I made at the gig. since security was rather tight, I was unable to bring my DSLR camera so I had to settle for iPhone snaps (although I didn't take many as I was too into the gig) during the beginning of the gig, Liam did have some sort of issue with his sound guy but, after about the third song, Liam was flying! Hitting his notes, not pulling soo much away from the mic like he used to in Oasis. This was a new fuckin Liam, one who Im sure is aware of a whole Team Noel/Liam and is out to conquer America as best as he can, and last night he started off on a strong path in LA, and although the venue was not completely sold out, Liam &Co. gave us one helluva gig, bc it sure as fuck was rocking! I could tell the band were buzzing off of the crowd themselves, Chris was flinging his drumsticks up in the air, Gem was just fuckin laughing the whole time. Gotta give props to Gem and Andy they nailed it, sounded really tight. Towards the end, Liam announced the final song, there was a massive serge towards the front from ppl trying to get close to the barricade. In the end Liam jumped off the steep stage and went down the entire front row shook everyones hand, kissed a few girls, hugs, took pics with a few and signed a good amount of items ppl had. I shook his hand and told him, he was a fuckin LEGEND and that I respected him for what he's doing, he shook my hand smiled and said "thanks". A few folks that went to the Frisco gig said LA was the smasher. As we made our way out of the venue to the streets, there were a fairly large contingent of gig goers and many were stating how blown away they were and what an awesome gig this turned out to be. Truly a rocking night provided by Beady Eye. NICE ONE. ps if anyone has pics or audio of this gig please please share it. At one point I turned around and saw a man that looked just like Mani from the Roses only to later on realize it was Mani and that who Liam dedicated Sons of the Stage too, the Manchester posse.

Wonder who's writing this is... may want to inform your friend that it didn't come from the stage. someone tried to throw that up from the crowd midway through the show. security guy in the pit picked it up and held onto it until he passed it off at the end. that's why he had a "why the fuck do you want this" look on his face when handing it over.

good post jilliam. I was at the gig last night as well. In the front row of the pit. It was an amazing show. They sounded great live. Liam's voice is better than it has been on the last couple of oasis tours. Did anyone stay after the gig and try to meet any of the band?
I hope they come back soon.

by the way does anyone have a set-list of the songs that are played before the beady eye gigs? There was a cool instrumental track that was played right before the band came on, it sounded like stone roses, but i can't figure it who it was

never thought i would be saying this, but after seeing both brothers i actually enjoyed the beady eye show more. standing only, not seated like noel's, just changed the whole atmosphere up front. more of an upbeat and energetic show all around. the beady eye record never did much for me, but live the songs really pack a punch. on record it is noel #1 and liam #2, live is liam #1 and noel #2. it's a draw, haha!
beady eye liam seems completely different than the man i have been seeing since '94, too. appears to be having more fun on stage these days. not to mention the whole barricade walk at the end where he was smiling and reaching out to everyone(sure the smaller venues make that easier). got the best double handed handshake and huge smile from him as he made his way along the front.

^^ dude, Liam fuckin OWNED LA Saturday night. At Noels gigs both nights I heard a few hecklers chant out "Liam LIAM" at the BE gig, I heard no "Noel" chants. Not saying BE's album is superior to Noels, but I did like it more however BE's songs live fuckin ROCK! I see as, what's the point of having great songs if you haven't got the right person delivering them? contrasting between L&N's gigs, its clear that they need each other to make shit work. BE's songs are ok and they do pack a punch live, Noels are good on record, but live they're just a bit dull. And even if Noels gig would have a pit/GA area I couldn't see a crowd, yet alone an LA crowd getting down like they were at BE's gig. My respect level for Liam shot right up after seeing him do this gig. When he jumped off the stage and was making his way down the front row, his fuckin smile could not have been surgically removed. PRICELESS!

I seen a Youtube video there of the gig, so he came down to the crowd with an Irish flag tied around him, it can't get any better for me:-)

Hey, folks, I was at the L.A. gig and it was brilliant!! The band were tight, and Liam sounded excellent and seemed to be really into the songs! I'm so impressed with how well he's taking care of his voice! Love this band and can't wait for the next album!! I got 53 minutes of video from the barrier, plus a few photos, and I am more than willing to share, but I have a favour to ask! Since I was in the pit, I got my ticket taken away and swapped for a wristband. Completely sucks, as I have every ticket to every gig I've ever been to except this one. So, if someone could send me an extra ticket, or sell me one, whatever, I would be thrilled and would respond with video & photo uploads! To prove I'm not bullshitting you, here are some screenshots from my video: Doing a "Noel impression" (limp wrist) after changing the lyrics to "like a lover, like a brother". Lol!

you do realize you could have gotten the ticket back after the show, right? they always hand them back as you walk out, just gotta ask.
and demanding a stub for the release of the video is not in the spirit of most in the bootleg community.

Had I realised that, I wouldn't be asking for a ticket here, would I? I flew out to L.A. especially for the show, having never been to the venue before. Can you blame me for not knowing all the strange customs of a new venue? Also, I am not demanding anything. I am requesting an item I very much want, and am willing to swap for it (or pay actual money for it). Pretty reasonable offer. It's your choice whether to take me up on that offer.

Yeah, I too wasn't too keen on handing over my ticket stub. Luckily I did remember to claim it at the exit. If you still need a copy, hit up the venue they might have some left overs. they may not give you a PIT/GA but, you'll at least have one. Sometimes eBay or craigslist have some. If you hit up craigslist, surely someone who didn't get to sell their tix might be down to sell you their unused stubs. worth a shot. Any media that you have in re; to this gig would be GREATLY appreciated, from the look at the pix you shared you were pretty close too.

I suppose you want a real ticket, not just the PDF of the emailed ticket, because I would send mine to you otherwise.
I think we met outside by the stage door after the gig, talking to Paul Weller guy (as I thought of him). You had a green parka, I had a blue leather jacket?
