Curious to see what people say.
Mine: As an animal lover, abuse breaks my heart, but forcing me to go vegetarian and saying 'stop eating meat because you're a murderer' is abusive. These people probably hate animals (stopping the culling of gray kangaroos because there's too little food) and force others into believing them. And Pamela Anderson.

they're violent and egomaniacal hypocrites. i suggest you watch penn & teller's episode of "bullshit!" about peta. Yeah. They lost me about 9 minutes in when immediately after chastising PETA for equating animal ownership to slavery based on the fact that many people have slavery in their family history, they equated a PETA leader to Hitler. You know what? Bet more people have families that have been affected by Nazis in a recent history than slavery. That said, personally I dislike protest/activists groups that condone the use of overtly aggressive and violent methods. PETA is absurd. I am against animal cruelty...but I am also realistic...which frankly they aren't. Protesting animal pounds that are doing their best to get animals adopted and treat them kindly while in their care or the people that provide meat who try their best to ensure quick relatively painless deaths for the animals isn't the way to go. Problem is their line is uncompromisingly impossible for most people to accommodate. By all meals target puppy mills and MacDonald Chicken factories...but leave the dog pounds alone. And don't call them puppies and kittens if you are going to complain. Like only the young/small/cute ones are deserving of your attention?

People with consciences perhaps? Non-human animals are treated like garbage in industrial society.

That's actually a remarkably sane thing for them to support. When I last checked there'd been some more recent advances in growing artificial meat, too. I'm a happy carnivore but I'm all for reducing and hopefully eliminating unnecessary harm to animals (as I'm sure we all are), and if this ends up being viable (and tasty) I'd make the switch.

The complete idiot who harassed my emails must be from PETA, we didn't stop kangaroos having sex, so it's their problem.

Hate them. They make big thing about Barack Obama being evil because he squat a fly ..
But yet they support banning Pitbulls and want them all killed. PETA condone seizing innocent Pitbulls and having them killed because of a reputation put onto them by the actions of humans. It's wrong.

the problem is animal rights is a serious and important topic but extreme groups make it easy for people to brush it off, they probably set animal rights backwards.

PETA is one more way for unimportant people tho make themselves feel important. It is a total waste of time and resources. I'm not for the complete extinction of animals but seriously, we can't even stop abuse to human beings, so I am not going to bother myself with other animals.
