Yeah, check out 'The BBC Sessions' and 'The Best Years', they're as good a starting point as any I suppose.

Nope, but I have a dull and vaguely relevant anecdote about him: when I saw Beady Eye at the Barrowlands, I got talking to this slightly unhinged woman and her husband, and she told me she'd named her son Rory after Rory Gallagher. Put me off listening to him for life

Difficult to know where to start tbh, Ah, Mr.Gallagher, a TRUE guitar legend, such an unappreciated man, difficult to know where to start really, he is a different animal live tbh, both elecric, acoustically he is amazing too believe me,but the best studio albums IMO are: Some sort of Greatest Hits Duece Top Priority Photo Finish Blueprint Tattoo But the live stuff you WILL be blown away, get everything!! These CD's are MUST HAVES: Stage Struck Irish tour 1974 Live In Europe The BBC Sessions Also the Official G-Man Bootleg Series CD's are great too and these official DVD's too: Rockpalast Collection DVD - 3 DISCS - AMAZING!! Ghost Blues DVD - 2 DISC Documentary with 1972 Beat Club Sessions Rock Goes To College DVD Montreux Collection DVD I mean , here are two examples (both from his more rock period of 1979) I love Rory, a true music legend who i do respect

I prefer his long lost brothers noel gallagher and rory gallagher related? no noel gallagher and ACT chief minister Katy Gallagher related? Must be, they're both arrogant

Massive fan here. My father brought me to see him live when I was 2 (I was in a buggy). I obviously don't remember it, but I can forever claim the legend Rory Gallagher as my first ever gig My favourite album of his is actually Top Priority , released in '79, but my taste in him is a bit different to the norm perhaps.
