I don't think Howard's a fan anymore, but I also don't know if that matters or not (in terms of booking guests for his show).

I don't know much about Howard Stern just the obvious as i'm from the UK, but is there a chance he feels threatened by Noel's wit?
I know Howard likes to think he is funny and controversial etc but i could imagine Noel slaughtering him if he really wanted to.

Nah...Stern would slaughter Noel. Because in the end...Noel actually isn't that cut throat. Stern is nothing but.
It's not worth going on that show unless you are willing to lick Sterns ass IMO. He's a really dirty interviewer. And he always likes to think he is the most interesting person in the room.
You don't have a conversation...you get grilled. And Stern would make it all about Liam because in the end what he is good at is peddling muck and controversy and Noel would resist like he has in every interview. He's a waste of time as a broadcaster IMO.
We'd get no useful information and, unless Noel licked Sterns rectum, Stern would end up being extremely negative about Noel after he left and irritatingly aggressive during the interview.

Would love it to happen though Not according the the Howard Stern fans. But we would certainly think him a twat. I have listened to dozens of his interviews when people I am interested in are interviewed and not even once has he failed to significantly overstep the mark. He's all about the cheap shots. And as nice as it is to think of him finally take pot shots at the shit celebrities that occasionally come on and them getting a reality check...in the main I think that he is grossly disrespectful to even his talented guests. I don't know how many times I have heard an interview devolve into a discussion of the persons sexual habits. His interviews are done for fans of Howard Stern and that shock jock mentality not fans of the person being interviewed. That being said. I am given to understand he still has a tremendous listenership so even if he made fun of Noel it would probably be good exposure. Couldn't be any worse than the moronic press that the lawsuit has been getting. |

Chris Martin went on his show a couple of weeks ago and Howard got him to talk about all kinds of stuff.
I think if Noel paid another visit it would be radio gold. I guess there's people who rather listen to another boring ass set of questions, the same old shit Noel's tired of talking about.
Btw, it's not entirely up to Howard's people who gets to be on the show. If fucking Matt Nathanson can go and promote his album, im sure someone who's previously been there like Noel would be no problem. Noel's label should make a push to get him on the show. Obviously not everyone like going on Stern but people do it because they know that it's great exposure and if Howard tells his audience to go and buy an album, movie or what have you, they will.

I don't think it's the publics right to know about people abusive childhoods or their sexual relationships with their wives/girlfriend or how they wank off. There are some people that don't mind talking about shit like that. I don't think that Noel is that open though so i don't think that an interview with a person that automatically goes to where Stern goes to would go extremely well. Maybe it would be great. In which case it would be one of the few of his that I have liked. I'm not 30+, I'm 26 and I have disliked Stern since my teenage years. It's not because I am old that I dislike that kind of invasive incursion into peoples business, so stop being insulting. He heavyhandedly approaches very sensitive subjects and I am repelled by that. Just my opinion though. Obviously enough people like his approach. And all the power to him. |

when i saw oasis there last time at msg, my whole row were the guys that work with howard stern, bababooy, eric, idk all there names. but they were big oasis fans, and this was like 3 years ago. i think howard actually respects noels down to earthness and humor however his lack of relevance in the US prevents him being a guest imo because all howard cares about is his ratings and himself.. but still a great interviewer. Who doesnt want to here about celebrities sex lives?
